I'm so glad you put this video up. I have a chip in the edge at the top. The instructions aren't very clear on how to put the two sticky sides of tape together. It didn't say anything about leaving a margin of sticky exposed to good it to the counter. I was lost without the video.

Is there a tint that would match different hues of white marble? Can this fill in a chip in white marble?
@HIMGsurfacerepair Жыл бұрын
Hi there! Yes, we have a white kit that includes 3 different shades so you can get the right color match! It absolutely works on marble. It's available here: www.himgsurfacerepair.com/collections/marble-repair-kit/products/lca-white-tones-surface-repair-kit You can also always send us an email to salesteam@himgsurfacerepair.com with a picture of your damage, we're happy to help you pick the best color.

Hi. I have a quartz countertop that chipped in the edge. I've saved the little piece. Do you think it's better to try to glue it back on, or fill it in with resin or super glue?
@HIMGsurfacerepair Жыл бұрын
IF it is a small piece, it may work with super glue. We also also a stone adhesive that we call SCA - Self Cure Acrylic. It is a non-toxic alternative that provides a very strong bond.

Nice video. Would that work on mirror facets too? There are some missing part and would like to restore it.ç on an old mirror. Is this acrylic material filling something that can be bought easily? Thanks

Just ordered a kit. Question, if I have part of a piece that broke off, would it better to use that piece and apply the repair in and around it? Or just start fresh without the piece?
@HIMGsurfacerepair4 ай бұрын
Sorry that we are just seeing this comment! You may have already made your repair, but in case you haven't -- it depends on the size of the damage! If it's a fairly large piece, it could be best to first secure that piece with a strong hold adhesive back into place and then fill in the gaps (we sell Self Cure Adhesive, which is used exactly for this sort of thing). If it's a smaller damage, we recommend starting fresh. In the future, you can always feel free to send us an email at salesteam@himgsurfacerepair.com with a picture of your damage!

This is what I’m wondering too. I don’t think you can sand the glass as it would become scratched

the repair granite looks nothing like what Cindy sent as photo. Hers was really damaged. Repair was shown on a normal piece of granite. Hello.

It’s pretty clear he’s demonstrating on an un-damaged piece of granite. A little imagination is needed.

Hi ,what's the blue light and what does it actually do to the resin, I know it sets it but what's the science
@HIMGsurfacerepair5 ай бұрын
Hey there! Our kits don't use resin-- they use Light Cure Acrylic (LCA), which is a technology we created 30 years ago! LCA cures with a specific spectrum of blue light. Once cured, it can withstand moisture, cleansers and heat up to a maximum of 285ºF. It is non-toxic and a safe alternative to epoxy.

Because he did NOT actually repair a broken one. It is great instruction but not realstic to a damaged surface.
