this is probably the only british panel that has and will continue to stand the test of time as long as Paul and Ian are present. while it was sad to see angus go initially, it was probably the best thing to happen to preserve this longevity of this show.

I am in Australia and love this show. As an avid follower of world news I even regularly watch HIGNFY from many years ago as I know what they are talking about so they are still really entertaining. Musk is an uncarring and entirely self-interested person that comes off as some sort of visionary... but every single thing he does is just slightly above the grade of con artist... he uses Twitter to boost or dump stock prices and then hates when he gets called out on it. His Tesla plant is so anti-union, Amazon is asking for tips. His "Boring" company has not done anything. His shuttles to and from some stadium which was supposed to be an early version and product of the boring company was just a bunch of people driving teslas through a tunnel... he may be one of the richest but he gives zero shits about humanity as a whole.
@michaelj.beglinjr.28042 жыл бұрын
Yep. Elon Musk is undoubtedly a scummy, greedy sumbitch, but he's still far from being the worst. I think Trump and his supporters have the title of "Worst Wastes of DNA in History" sewn up.
@c.m.93692 жыл бұрын
Musk is a good business man. He knows how to make money. And that's ALL he does. The fact that people think he's some kind of tech genius is infuriating! He employes a lot of skilled people who create workable products... but every time HE opens his mouth about any issue it becomes obvious how little he understands about anything technical, and then his teams of actually competent people have to waste their time, coming up with some sort of half-backed version of the nonsense he sold to the public! And people fall for it! I mean... yeah, he's also a shitty person all around, in terms of morals, which is probably worse, but to be frank: The kind of undeserved reputation of a genius almost bugs me more than anything else. Simply because it shows how little qualifications you actually need to make people believe that you're smart. While so many actually smart and capable people won't even make the footnotes of history!

But saying that, buying twitter and championing ftee speech is the best thing he's ever done. Credit where its due
@adam3462 жыл бұрын
@@annother3350 how? I can't tell if he is trying to prove a point by buying what he claims is a public square.. which, irony abounds, or if he is trying to privatize the public square even further by quite literally making it so no one else can buy into it. I think you are giving him credit for playing 4d chess when he is probably just doing something out of a weird spite and because he can.
