Damn, this freaks people out? When I was young, my dreams were of direct replicas of places I've been to before except for certain things off. It felt like living in a weird core world, with objects talking, time moving backwards, I once had a dream that simulated an entire day with absolutely nothing off. Here's my theory: I think the face was designed to look incredibly average. As the average age in the world is middle aged, and the average race in the world is asian, which I think the man resembles. I think they tried to make a very average looking person so that quite a lot of people would look quite a lot like him, making foggy memories leading to people unconsciously drawing those connections.

I especially love dream mysteries. I’ve had a repeated experience in my dreams when I was younger, I think it started at 7 and ended at 12. Four dreams, to be exact. It’s an endless arcade that slowly turns more demented the further you go along. There’s an open room that’s a main arcade, the top left corner leads into a prize room with some of those ball games. I don’t know what they’re called, but they’re little circular structures with a clear dome. There’s another hallways in that room which leads into a left and right hallway. The left hallway will turn the arcade more demented as you go along. You’ll see blood, bones, and corpses littering the halls. The right hall is normal. Or, at least, I never went far enough in the right hall to see it transform. But that’s not it. There’s a creature that lurks in the arcade. A massive beast that tracks you down to kill you. The first dream ended with me getting lost in the arcade and being unable to find my way out The second dream ended with me being caught, but I woke up before being killed. I distinctly remember the thing digging it’s ungodly long claws into my left arm. It was sore as hell when I woke up. I didn’t sleep on it. The third dream ended with me being caught between two bars. This time, I retained the memory that the left hall meant death. I remembered every previous experience and used that to my advantage, going down the right hall and wandering through the regular arcade. Eventually, the creature caught up to me. I managed to flee for a long time before ending up back in the main room in front of the door, there were two sets of bars dropping. I managed to run through one to try and get out, which separated me from the creature, but the second one dropped before I could escape. The forth dream was the most bizarre. Instead of going in the maze, I lingered in the prize room. It didn’t take long for it to find me. I juked it out by faking running into the split hallway and ran back into the main room, where the bars were dropping. I managed to slide under them both and could heat the creature crash against them. I exited into a huge mall where there were three kids waiting for me. A blonde male with blue eyes, a brown haired girl who wore a ponytail, and a girl with black hair that I don’t remember the details of. We started walking out and I distinctly remember. I swear to god. The brown haired girl said: “You’re lucky to have survived. Not many make it out.” That was the last time I ever had that dream and I will defend the legitimacy until the day I die. It’s not the only creepy or bizarre thing that’s happened to me, but it’s always made me anxious. Worried that I didn’t just enter a dreamscape. It felt too real. I remembered my past experiences in the dream, that just doesn’t happen. I feel like I visited somewhere and managed to escape. I’ve never been able to find someone else with the same experience, but if the girl’s words are anything to go off of. I’m not sure I ever will. It sounds fake, but I swear on my life I’m telling the truth. I’ve laid down numerous comments about it over the years and it’s something I know for a fact wasn’t just my imagination as a kid.

Yeah, I'm sure placebo effect is part of it. It is possible to generate a false memory from people telling you about it. Probably some ppl have a dream with a character who sticks out in it, but being a dream, they don't remember the details, or why exactly it sticks out. Then they see the 'potent' image of "dream man", and they subconsciously associate his face with whatever figure stuck out. Similarly, a bunch of people probably watched videos about this and then saw "dream man" just cause it was on their minds.

I’ve dreamt of him once where he ran at me while I was eating dinner. He just stood on the table while the walls turned to pitch black, no dinner on the table, just a plain cloth on it, and him standing on it. He just looked at me no matter where I moved, not blinking. Okay, this deja vu or something because during my summer break, I visited family members in Mexico. We stayed at there place for a couple of days and one of those nights, in my dream, I saw this very face. I didn’t even know this face existed which caught me so off guard. What made it scarier for me was that the entire thing was highlighted in red. I woke up that night and out of nowhere, I started crying, not sobbing where everyone would wake up, but simply crying silently, not wanting to go back to sleep even though it was only a dream. 8-9 months later, which is now, I come across this video, and it regained a memory in me that I wish I forgot.

honestly i think most people think they've seen this man because he possesses many features one would find unusual or remarkable: bushy, almost connected eyebrows, very round face, large eyes and mouth, big forehead, many features you could notice from a distance. so you'd pay more attention if you saw someone weird like him in a dream rather than your average joey
