I was out having fun Saturday night with some friends. I was happy to be with my friends and to cut loose in a few clubs to unwind after a stressful few weeks. But honestly even while I was drunk af and talking to women, I was still thinking about work for the week coming up and the next few companies I wanted to invest in, considering how the stock market has been lately. Have your fun, but understand that it is overall a waste of time and you have to stay focused.

I just love how raw the videos are. You can just feel how they appeal to you, your struggles, and are RELATABLE. Men of our generation just need some hope. They've been put down, their dreams shot down, given no information on how to achieve their goals, and left alone to deal with failure. I even once truly believe in the social media narrative that the "rags to riches" story was simply impossible because the rich always stayed rich and the poor always stayed poor. But gems like this channel provide hope. That you can make it. I mean, you made it. Keep the videos coming Denmo, we need more raw and genuine guys like you out there in this world of fake.

Thanks Denmo. I am now 24 years and you inspired me to delete my social media apps. I was having too much fun. You also inspired me to do a workout vlog. I feel very fortunate for my life. I was born with a stroke and developed mild cerebral palsy, which has had some difficulties with mental health and comparing myself with others. I am in good shape physically and a supportive family, yet I really want to motivate myself to gain a higher level of independence. Driving is a challenge, yet I’m working towards making that a possibility. Where I feel like I should have improved by now is in financial independence. I made some money recently working at the school I completed my masters at Carnegie Mellon, now I need to find another source of income. I know how to do that I just need to find motivation to get uncomfortable and do the things I should be doing. I almost won a job as a orchestral musician, which is what I want to do, as a tubist. I know I can do it I just need to see my life in perspective and get shit done! Get my teenage motivation back.

I agree with most of the things you are saying , especially the fact that free time Isn’t free time and you gotta man up and take responsibility for things as you get older . But you don’t have to make it a living hell for yourself just because society says you should . You can be grateful and appreciative and put in effort to better yourself all while not being lazy . I’m 25 , a professional runway model and I’m in school taking 18 units to graduate in the spring all while looking for a corporate job and looking to get a masters in Finance . And yes , I live with my parents . So I can save and buy a house when that job does hit . Point is everyone life is different, it’s not an excuse to be lazy though . But different things come for different people at different times . Some people start at 17 some people don’t figure it out until 30 . Just don’t be lazy and try your best and yes hold accountability for yourself .

As funny as it may sound, the ending of this video resonates with me the most. I already treat dessert as an unnecessary luxury or a treat that maybe I’ll allow myself to enjoy once a month, if at all. I’ve been minimizing my fun because I’ve been practicing delayed gratification, and I’ve done okay. But after you planted the seed in my head comparing fun with dessert, you pulled sort of a mental lever. It feels like making the decision to delay having fun is significantly easier than before, all because of this slight shift in my mindset. Thank you for that bro, keep up the good work

Also helped me realize that there is no “free” time, it absolutely needs to be earned. Every young man needs to experience some shitty truths in life to get how it all actually works. And the sooner they experience those struggles, the better equipped they will be to deal with it throughout life. Great video, spot on advice!

Thanks for the content, some of your points really hit home. So many people around me like to throw around the "fun" word being I am in my late twenties and in most peoples eyes not having enough fun and spend to much time working. It is like they are just trying to slow you down. One thing i have learned is that you cannot go all in on work. I have been fat my whole life and I am starting to put more effort into that even though I am in surprisingly good shape for a fat guy that does not matter, image is important for many reasons. My new mission i call un f ing myself starting with physical health then moving on to my social health, couple months in and i am making progress. Hoping by next spring i will be physically fit and ready to work improving my social life. I have never been able to get a woman to stick around more than a couple months before they leave. I think we can have fun in free time if fun as a concept is redefined. Fun can be productive in ways that aren’t traditionally considered to be so. Such as watching a movie with my gf. I’m into film making and she’s literally majoring in the subject. So we study the movies we watch and take note of things while still having fun, passing around script ideas etc… Or traveling with your family. Sure you can’t grind your job but if you are in a new place in the world you are learning so many new things about life and it’s possibilities. It’s inspiring not to mention you make memories that will bring your parents to life whenever you remember them after they pass away. There are forms of fun that are just time wasted but others that are productive if you find ways to have them be so. It’s just about the balance of realizing when you are BSing yourself and being genuinely unproductive. And that takes alot of honesty between you and yourself.

I have been around the U.S. and worked plenty of crappy jobs. Ive been homless living in shelters between jobs for a little while. My point is two things, 1. If you live in the west be greatful because even when i was homeless i rarely went hungry and 2. If you are young, have fun. Be smart about it, work plan and be greatfull but dont forget to have fun. Your only young once, at 40 i have allot more free time then when i was 20 but its allot harder to have the kind of fun i had back then. Yolo.

Alot of people would say that Im successful and have "made it" but Honeslty Iam the lonelyest Ive been in my entire life. I see it as a failure, I know alot of people who are drunk party people druggies who have been having fun their whole lives and have that sense of belonging with an abundance of friends. The 2 and 1 Made me forget who I was as a person. It Contributed to many great relationship opportunities never materilizing. Currently planning my exit as I've had an awakening also. All that work is a slippery slope.

I have a real estate business. I'm always looking at properties, managing my property managers, meeting with my legal team, talking with zoning pencil pushers, my accountant, contractors, etc. I drive by a golf course and chuckle. What a waste of time. So how do I have " fun?" I've always wanted to be a pilot since I was a child. So I formed a LLC, bought a Cessna 172, put it in that LLC and I fly it from Texas to Florida every month. It's a tax deduction, as is the fuel, maintenence, and flight training. So I make my " fun" profitable. My free time? I spend with my son.

I'm the Old guy here. I'm 57. Started working at 11. Paper routes (plural).. Cut grass..did a ton of odd jobs..git My first paying Drumming gig at 11 and have been playing since. I estimate over almost 50 years of drumming I've made est - 200 k. I snagged it out in bars w 50 people and played outdoor shows with 20k people. My main career is I. T. Which I've made much more. I'm making a ton of changes so I can do content full time. I was much happier as a Drummer even though I couldn't make what I make now. Why I'm making Super changes.

As blunt and truthful as some of the things you share are , your also caught in a cycle right now , one day you’ll look back and shake your head at your current self , all is well.. remember not to take it too serious but don’t be a fool either ..

Haha, that's facts! I'm assuming he means the kind of "fun" that occurs during HOURS of pointless and antisocial activity. At least generations past had to get together with the neighbor kids, run around outside, and exert physical effort to play their "games." But maybe I'm reading too much into it lol.
