Hawaiian Purple Taste Review

Hello Kim, good video on Hawaiian Purple, I am growing a Hawaiian Purple cutting that is now over 10 feet with New York City weather. It grew fast with all the rain. I took it inside to avoid it from freezing. Hopefully it will bloom upcoming summer. 🙏 glad it is self fertile variety!

I've found that Hawaiian Purple (Spicy Exotics) and Godzilla are pretty much the same variety. It's a good tasting fruit, but tends to crack early. I've tried leaving the flower on to see if that helps with the the cracking and didn't notice any difference. These varieties are also very prone to rot. Even here in Hawaii, I've had rot issues with Godzilla. I recently scrapped an entire trellis of Godzilla and will be replanting a different variety - probably Connie Gee.
