How cool was it to run across this! Only the 551st view. Wow! Hawkwind sounds great! Awesome lightshow! I never knew they were still out there doing their music. The last album I bought by them was "Quark, Strangeness and Charm", 1977...long time ago now. I still remember how exciting that album was. "Spirit of the Age", "Damnation Alley". Partied a lot to that whole album. Prior to that album, my friends and I enjoyed "Space Ritual". I still have both of those Albums. Listened to all 23 minutes of this...it was a very nice natural space "trip".

Super. I wished that I could have been there. The best space rock band ever. Last time I saw them live , was in 2016 in the Melkweg, Amsterdam.

Not so sure this should be called "Hawkwind" for the last 20 years but "Dave Brock"...... Brock's voice was great till about the mid 90's ,after that he wasn't very convincing anymore , only highly appreciated by the younger new "Hawkwind" fans who never saw this once legendary band in the 70s or 80s. All these bug eyed aliens and rockets definitely aimed at kids . Somewhat like nostalgia act The Strolling Bones who also can't leave all that unconditional adulation behind.

Take it you’ve not been to a gig to watch hawkwind recently or since the 90s as you suggests? The fan base is as it always has been ages mostly late 50s / 60s in the audience so to assume only new young fans only appreciate HAWKWIND now is just ignorance on your behalf . Everyone’s entitled to an opinion that’s all your post is. Can’t please everyone which is sweet 😉

@@angelofdeath098 Well yeah...I tried to stay as polite as possible . It shouldn't be too big of a problem to have just one nay sayer in a sea of well wishers .
