I get his point about anime. His stories are from the real world with a sparkle of fantasy. Modern day anime is a lot of forced stuff like emotions, relationships, setting etc. bless his soul

The one who directed this Trailer.. needs a raise. The feeling is so pure and simple. That is making me feel so uncomfortable. Man, Literally insane work guys. waiting for its release

Boy and the heron seemed to me like a Doctor Who episode in the Ghibli universe.

Hayao Miyazaki should try meditation, be still like a heron and sacrifice the eye like odin.
@ChronoMune12 күн бұрын
Is the boy and the heron really that good though? I started about 20 minutes of it and it just really didn’t seem that interesting
@jeyverse12 күн бұрын
Literally just finished it. The ending was abrupt, they didnt take their time to finish it. But I was left with a fullness in my heart and sense of nostalgia I can’t comprehend.
@ChronoMune12 күн бұрын
@@jeyverse interesting. But would you say your real interest in it started later in the movie or was it from the start for you
@lazedreamor231812 күн бұрын
No. It's very simple in how it delivers its theme, which isn't bad, but it doesn't take enough advantage of everything to elevate itself.
@ChronoMune12 күн бұрын
@@lazedreamor2318 dang thanks, that’s all I needed to know, I won’t go back and finish it then 😔 kinda just like been there done that. I had high expectations
@lazedreamor231812 күн бұрын
@@ChronoMune Meh, it's still worth watching for the animation alone. No Ghibli movie besides Ponyo has had characters move as interesting as Boy and the Heron.
