Very lovely ,classy lady. Just love her movies. For those who are new Ms. Haley Mills, you have to see her in Whistle down the Wind with Alan Bates, Gypsy Girl and of course all of her films with the very talented Welsh actor Hywel Bennett. Thanks for posting this great video.

I'm twenty-seven years old. Most people my age have never heard of Hayley Mills. I know her because my mom loved her had her movies, and I grew up watching them with my mom. I loved her because I thought she was sweet and nice. Many, many years later I wrote Hayley Mills a letter and I sent a couple of pictures for her to sign. I sent the letter back in October or November of last year. I've sent several letters to dozens of different celebrities, but never got anything back. Back in March, I was up at school and I was not having a good semester. I wasn't passing anything, my roommates were just these awful people and a dear friend of mine stabbed me in the back, so it wasn't going to well for me. One day I was in my English class feeling down about losing my friend and everything, and my mom text me and told me Hayley Mills returned the envelope I sent my letter in. She didn't write a responding letter, but she did sign my pictures to me. Not to sound sappy or anything, but that made me smile really big, in fact I was floating out of my seat. Because celebrities have such a hectic and busy lifestyle, I never really expected to hear from her, let alone get it back so soon. It must've been five months before I got my response. I'm so glad she did respond though. If I never get another response it won't matter. At least I got hers. Hayley Mills is such a sweetheart and kind woman.

Wow, thanks for posting this. When it was on we didn't have cable to I was running all over the room with the antenna trying to pull it in, as it was on a distant, low-power station. LOL, and now here it is 21 years later in all its glory!

I had real " school boy crush" on her in 1960/61. Wrote to her at Crowborough, and got a signed photo ! It was 1961 ..I was Thirteen! Odd how no one mentions her in the film Whistle Down The Wind...lovely little film, and a look back at the Britain that I grew up in. Also really love her in The Parent Trap..oh to go back in time. ♥️♥️ Hayley! Thanks for all those sweet Memories.

I first heard of her in '89; when I asked "Who's Hayley Mills?", my mother said, "Don't say that, you're making us feel old!" I've recently seen Hayley's masterpiece (IMO): Sky West and Crooked.

This guy, now 71, remembers going to the "pictures" in Kippax with my late sister and some friends to watch a beautiful little film "whistle down the wind". Really beautiful with haunting music. Only 9 I wanted to believe it was Jesus. Time of my youth, the phone box was our communication. We played in the fields just like the kids therein. There wasn't much else to do. And you know what? I think our lives were better.

That is a good, fair assessment of the situation. Let's not deny the advantages she had, but she did earn her career longevity. Modesty speaks for a lot, too. "Let's Get Together" and other successes were for young audiences, which spoke and had consumer power being the huge cohort of the Babyboomers. -"tarotworldtour"

Her voice sounds slightly deeper, and she looks strangely like an older version of Leslie Mann.

@Ilovecats112233 She's 40 years older. Of course, she isn't like Pollyanna -a character she played for Disney.

Maureen Is still alive? For real? Wasn't Maureen Mia Farrows mom in real life? Wow, Maureen must be on up there.Mia Farrow is older than me and I'm 59. But back to Hayley, I always wondered what happened to her. So she kept up some acting over the years. How old is she now, and where is she living? Who did she marry, did she have kids of her own? In other words I want to know EVERYTHING about her now.
@pikemeredith56044 жыл бұрын
Maureen O"Sullivan was Mia Farrow's mum not the other Maureen. She was Jane in the Tarzan movies with Johnny Weissmuller. Sadly, she has passed on in 1998. Know it's been awhile since your comment but as no-one replied to your question I thought I would in case u didn't know. Cheers.

@gcwales I did not insult her I just stated facts she was put where she was by rich famous parents "Fact" the Americans fell for the cute little girl act hook line and sinker . I remember when she released "Let's get together" it was regarded as dreadful by the whole music industry , at the same time Helen Shapiro (Same age same era) was singing songs like "You Don't Know" which is in a different class !!!
@felixleiter91234 жыл бұрын
Wow class envy at its worst. What part of the north are u from. Id say leeds
@deborahpalmer10214 жыл бұрын
It was only a kids song from a Disney children’s film ! Of course there was no comparison with Helen Shapiro, who had an exceptional & very mature voice for her age. Hayley’s British films such as Tiger Bay & Whistle Down the Wind we’re far superior to the very commercial Disney productions anyway. She was far more natural in them and gave marvellous & sensitive performances. , ,
