I saw this girl on tiktok leaving her bf because he got jumped by 5 people and couldn't defend himself 💀
@s1_auds4 ай бұрын
Yet that shouldn't be a reason to " dump " someone, nor is that fair anyway ... like why are people deciding to jump people anyway, it is childish and sometimes dangerous. I'll tell you now, if I got jumped, I wouldn't be able to defend myself, guess I am a walking ick !! 😂 Now i'm not trying to argue or have a dispute with you in anyway, this is a question everyone should think about : Why should someone have to live in fear, feel as if they're being followed and have to live with that thought of " what if i'm jumped " in the back of their head...

@@MorbidMaximus666 Agreed! But the fact that such a large % of Gen Z is on TikTok makes _me_ feel disconnected from "reality". I've given up trying to ask for explanations when some of my friends reference certain videos or use very specific vocabulary that's predominant in those online spaces. For example, out of nowhere I started to hear words and jokes related to the looksmaxing community. Then I realized it was due to its popularization on TikTok. I remember studying Baudrillard's "hyperreality" concept in my philosophy class and this is exactly what it feels like; a shared reality that feels more real than that based on tangible people and things.

It’s almost like they’re all, like.. Playing a game together as if it’s an inside joke??? They all just go with the same “rules” or whatever when the majority of people.. Don’t do any of that. They’ve created this little fantasy community world together that doesn’t exist outside of tiktok/their social circles. I feel elderly when my friends bring up new “slang” (which, let’s get real, it’s just shortening down phrases until it becomes incomprehensible because I guess people either don’t have the brain capacity to type normal sentences, or they’re just brutally lazy.) Gen Z needs to get over their protagonist mentality, cuz y’all don’t know what ‘ick’ even is. I’ve been with my wife for 19 years and at this point there is little we haven’t put each other through. When my wife went into labor with our son, she vomited all over me as I was helping her out of the car at the hospital. I finished getting her inside, wiped off best I could in a bathroom, and stuck around to be my child be born. Once I had a horrific stomach flu and literally shit the bed with both of us in it. She wasn’t even mad, rather she was concerned that I had gotten sick enough that could even happen. Long story short, if you love someone then you learn to deal with the occasional unpleasantness. Hi Gen Zers. I'm Gen X, middle aged now. There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep to yourself. Being my age, I can't say I have an "ick" when it comes to anyone, I just don't trust people. If you have a few loyal friends, keep each other close, have each other's backs. Those are few and far in between as you get older. Find a pet, and enjoy the outdoors. Remember everyone, most of the stuff you see like this is for reactions on social media. I feel for your generation at times because you got an uphill battle. Godspeed to you all. Hayley, good stuff. First time seeing a vid from you and had to sub. The basket one cracked me up. The girl never heard the phrase "work smarter, not harder". The skinny twerp with the red flags for girls has me shaking my head because I'll lay money he gets plenty of honey on his stinger. Why is being a good driver a red flag??? Girls if you can drive well, sign me up to be the passenger. I don't want to deal with traffic.

I feel like “ick” should be a brief moment of hilarious cringe between partners, not a reason to no be with someone. For example, my partner is still learning to dance (we are latino and bro hasn’t developed hips to save his life). He finds it cringe, I find it funny, and we laugh about it. If people aren’t allowed to be imperfect, no one will have a partner ever. While phones aren’t the only issue, social media has ruined our perception of humanity.

seriously. what human, what human being at all on Earth is perfection? and what is the base definition of perfection? there is none. we are all shaped by our life experiences and the other people we surround ourselves with. we all have different DNA, we all have different preferences and make different choices. social media has made people shallow, and deeply insecure and they mistake that insecurity as confidence. youtube is the only social media I use now. I don’t use tiktok or twitter where the worst of it all lives - once you remove yourself from those things, you live your own life and you see these kinds of things like beauty standards and “icks” and just laugh at the absurdity and shallowness of it all.

I’m so confused by all of this But the laundry one really gets me Literally who is turned OFF when their partner does chores??? I have never heard anyone complain that their husband is too helpful around the house before??? that’s truly such an unhinged opinion I can’t even wrap my head around it
@loverrlee4 ай бұрын
I completely agree. I think it must stem from a deep seeded insecurity that if he’s doing chores, he won’t need them for it, and they must feel like it’s one of the only things they offer or bring to the table in the relationship, so it triggers their abandonment issues or something when they aren’t being literally taken advantaged of in their relationship (but lots of people do what they were taught, so if they grew up in a house where their parents had this dynamic, they are more likely to see it as abnormal when their partner does something that their (possibly toxic) parents didn’t do, like contribute to household chores. If they grew up with a mom who did all the housework, and a father that “brought home the bacon” I can see how that would translate into them feeling threatened (aka ick) when a man displays traditionally feminine roles like housekeeping (But I don’t understand this mentality because I am so happy and thankful every single time my partner helps around the house! Even though I grew up with an absentee father and lived with my grandparents who had pretty traditional gender roles, I still understand the value of a partner that helps split the chores).

As a woman married to a man that actually helps around the house...MARRY HIM OR SOMEONE ELSE WILL! Thats not an ick! Do you know how many guys I've met that refused to do "women's work"? Like they don't dirty the same towels, dishes, and floors I do?!?! WTF!
@Ephesians5-144 ай бұрын
I was reared by a man who did women's work and men's work in equal measure.. that is, he did what needed doing and so does my mother with both inside and outside work. So I grew up believing men just do housework when it needs doing. BOY WAS I WRONG. If you meet a nice man who doesn't expect you to be his mommy and his naughty nurse and his sexy maid... marry him!!

Probably as many women I know who refuse to do yardwork/repairs. Or just suck at them, and then a guy has to come in and repair the damage.

@@diskonnekt1313 you compare a fckn everyday cleaning dishes, room, clothes yada-yada to let's be honest a once in a while work, what many man actually can't do either cuz not everyone born a fckn Mario or Master Felix!.. @@diskonnekt1313genuinely hilarious for me to read this because i grew up in a household where my dad was a musician and couldn’t do jack related to that, meanwhile my mom grew up on a farm and did literally all the household cleaning, weeding, cooking, laundry, AND the repairs, balancing that with being a nurse from 8am to 5pm. my dad mostly cuts the grass when it comes to household work. but nah. it’s the women who have to be cleaned up after.

What about all of the comments from the women in this video? How will they age? I think we can agree those women should've shut up.
@whispersinthedark884 ай бұрын
@Gambit771 yeah there are some very narcissistic and delusional ppl out there of both sexes. And in general men tend to become more attractive with age and experience/skills/provider abilities. This is somewhat a disadvantage for younger guys...but younger guys have things that older guys don't always retain...this happens with women also just a bit different. Women tend to be more "valued"when they are young, where as men tend to gain "value" as they age....not all of course. They have created division between men and women on a scale I have not seen in western culture since medieval times. They would rather us hate each other and not have future generations of our own ancestral lines. Why everyone else but Europeans are recognized as having their own ethnic and culture is ...well disgusting and bigoted.
