Hayward Pool Pump Remote Wall Mount Face plate Kit Installation

Today the wall mount Face plate kit model SP3200DR910 or SPX3400DRKIT depending on where it is purchased. I will be installing it in the screen enclosure just above the salt chlorinator enclosure. As the Electrical project has not been completed for the latest pump project I will not concern myself with dressing the cable that leaves the screen enclosure. I will be using C10 panduit inside, however. Ideally I would jut out a channel into the concrete and forego the panduit in the future.

The controls are unscrewed directly from the pump along with the RS-45 connector. I opted to drill out the existing access plug and seal it with RTV because i will need to redo this later during the electric project. I keep the signals on twisted pair of the cat6, recording the colours, to transpose to the other end Using the provided connector.
During assembly, I'd actually broke a wire, a minor repair, and retested, everything worked just fine.
The kit provides for a blank plate to be refit onto the pump itself. The pump side is sealed up, and the faceplate is mounted to the wall, providing for a convenient control location.

How do you like this pump? It’s brushless? Did you notice a significant drop in electric usage after upgrade when you first installed? I need to upgrade my pump and wanted to do remote as well.

The flow of the pump activates the chlorinator. So in a matter of speaking, yes.

So my kit didn’t come with the green block. Is there any reason why I couldn’t use the existing red block for display and not use the wall mount green block? I did this and I got the comm error but my wires were fine?

Strange that it wouldnt come with the block required to relocate the wires to the post.

So, do you think I can I simply use the original red block the short gray wire was connected to when the controller plate was attached to the pump and not worry about the green block? I don't see why it wouldn't work any different? In fact, not sure why the green block is needed? thank you

Now, 4 years later, its 265$ on Amazon 😅. So i’m trying to see if i can just extend the original cable with cat6.

I was able to just extended the cables, color matched. Install the panel on my plywood mother board, screws were loosely tightened though didn’t want to pinch the cable. 😂works for now.
