After the visit to Gleisdorf station, I took the regional train to Graz main station to visit the newly completed main station and take more pictures of everyday railway life with the new Sony AX33.
This allowed me to capture some special motifs on this sunny day in June 2016.
While most of the railcars were still painted in the old ÖBB livery on this day, the new Cityjet desgns could already be seen.
The class 1142 could be seen especially often today. Even a version with old lamps and the old Pflatsch logo, which is becoming more and more rare: 1142 668-1. Nowadays, it is only seen occasionally on the CityShuttle wagons.
For Mercedes Benz fans, especially of the G-Class manufactured in Graz, there was a goods train with many G-Class vehicles of all versions. Up to chassis with military or desert preparation. GKB locomotive DH 1700.2 leads this block train filled with noble luxury vehicles.
Towards the end of the film I discovered a real easter egg. Two years after recording, while editing, I discovered that an ÖBB 2143 was shunting in the background. But then it no longer appeared in the foreground. What a pity.
The return to Gleisdorf was with the railcar 5062 002-8 of the StLB.
I made these recordings in six-channel sourround (5.1) as a test.
