Tbh I get that Snyder finally got justice for all his hard-work that he put in the JL movie but considering how WB sort of betrayed him by hiring Whedon without letting Snyder know (that's what I heard)...then the movie sucked. So seeing the fans demand Snyder's version they finally call back Zack to finish his version...I think it would've somewhat made him feel like being given something that someone had already used... The movie was Zack's creation, it was ruined by Whedon and then Zack had to come back to restore it...not to mention he lost his daughter while working on the movie so coming back to work on it definitely should've brought back some sad memories... Still, he didn't disappoint his fans. Even though I am a DC fan more than I am a fan of Marvel I have to say that I think because of all these issues Zack still couldn't bring what he had actually envisioned for his JL movie...with the light reshoots. WB jumped the gun trying to release the theatrical version. In a recent statement WB said that no one had liked Whedon's version. WB has, since the beginning, hurried over the DCEU projects, mostly trying to compete with MCU that took its time and have more creative control to the writers for their respective characters... . ZSJL could've been even better if not for these issues...all the blame goes to WB, not even Whedon. WB hired him. If they'd just been patient things would've been a LOT more different...better...

The crazy thing is, if Zack's initial studio mandated two hour version had just been finished and released instead of butchered, the SnyderVerse probably would've just died quietly. The WB/Whedon cut had to happen and cause the slow burn outrage that it did for Zack to be allowed to finish and release his full version of the movie, and this version is now seemingly a huge hit and continuing the story is probably something HBO is seriously considering their options for.

Yeah, unless your film is Ben-Hur, the Godfather Duology, the extended editions of The Lord of The Rings trilogy, Avengers Endgame, the director's cut of Doctor Sleep, or any of Snyder's own films that got a director's cut, you wouldn't watch a movie that lasts more than 2 hours, I didn't need the final Harry Potter film to split into two parts, I actually would've enjoyed if it became a 3 hour movie

Zack didn't need convincing. He's been wanting this since Day 1. Trash Warner Bros. Are the ones that kept refusing until their owners (AT&T) forced them. Weeks leading up to it's release the studio was talking smack saying they aren't impressed and want it done with. Intentionally made it come out shortly before Godzilla vs Kong so that it won't have as much time to shine.
