First of all I have to say you are an excellent speaker. I hope you do seminars. I am a Licensed Acupuncturist in Private Practice. One of the difficulties I am having lately is with DME. The VA requires an RFS/SAR for DME. They have changed this recently. It has been incredibly difficult to order knee/back braces and tens units because -if you are not a biller or a PT- it is difficult to select the proper HCPCS code for the equipment needed. If you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Great job, have a great day.

I had no idea you were out in reading! I’m in PA too. How were you able to find a remote job? Is your company based here in PA or is it other places that allow you to be remote? Hi Victoria! If you have a test question, that starts with "a Medicare patient", are you only reporting HCPCS II codes only or combined with CPT codes?

Depends on what the service is. A flu vaccine administration for example, you would use the G0008 instead of 90471.

Hello I just love your vidios and they have been very helpfull, I been a coder since 2005 but for the last 10 years for the providers I work for I now do their credentialing claims and insurance verifacation and I have a question. In April the code J1040 was deleted and replaced with J1010 and according to the HCPCS book this should be coded J1010 x 80 but the gentleman who dose the coding now coded J1010 with the NDC code 00009-3475-01 with 1 unit. I feel this is not correct. What do you think can it be coded like that and still get paid the same as if it was coded with 80 units

Sometimes, the drug might be listed under a different name or a generic name. Verify if there are any alternate names, synonyms, or brand names for the drug. If you cannot find a drug in the HCPCS book, check for alternate or generic names, use the NDC directory, or apply the unlisted drug code J3490 with detailed supporting documentation.

Good afternoon VictoriaI have a question.. Today, i went to an CPC interview.. ( as a first time) the employer gave a package with some exercise to do.. All the exercises were similar like these one but in different branches of the medicine. Exercise 1- they put 12 medicine and the employer wanted i gave him a “diagnostic of the patient”.. Is it right?? Af course i couldn’t do 1 exercise..I feel very frustrated.. 😭😭😭.. please help..All the interviews are on that way?? .. Because i feel i will never work as a coder if it is on that way.. the employer told me: you should be able to do it.. 😭😭😔.. well i don’t know if you can answer these kind of question.. 😞
