So sad the new RTX are only HDMI 2.1. The fake frames will not be able to fully go through the cables !

From what I’ve looked up, you don’t need a new port like dp2.1 so it actually will have it. You just have to buy an ultra96 cable.

@@Blindcontroller lol, you absolutely need a "new port" the mechanical port may be the same, but there's no way something built for 48Gb/s can suddenly send and receive 96Gb/s

@@PAPO1990 that’s what I thought too but the port wasn’t limited to 48Gb it was just the current cables

@ dude, even some HDMI 2.1 ports don’t support the full 48Gb/s. The PS5 for example only supports 40Gb/s. The same thing happened from 2.0-2.1 you needed new devices to support the new higher speeds. (There were a small handful of devices that had 2.1 ports prior to the final spec being released and only needed a firmware update, but these were the exception, not the norm)

@@PAPO1990 I understand all of that but when I looked at that time everything said you wouldn’t have to worry about a new port. Needing a new port made sense to me too but apparently it’s not the case this time.
