"Who doesn't like Ringo?". You've got that right! I remember watching the 50th anniversary program on CBS of the Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show which was held at the same Ed Sullivan theater in 2014. Many excellent bands were there all performing live covers of Beatles songs. At the very end they brought out Ringo and his backing band, and I remember being completely blown away by his lively performance (he was on vocals with his own backing band) and how well he sang in that performance. I remember thinking to myself, "geez, he's an amazing performer! We rarely got to hear him with John, Paul and George in front of him!" Great choice which I greatly appreciate and great reaction program Harri!

From Ringo's solo debut album from 1970, " Sentimental Journey", a demonstration of his nostalgic affection for the material of pre rock standards from 1920-1950. Sung with a full orchestra with tracks arranged by Paul, Maurice Gibbs, Quincy Jones and Oliver Nelson, Ringo does an admirable presentation of this classic. Sung with a humerous tone to his vocals, I think I prefer R&R Ringo. You're Sixteen and The No No Song highlights his fun vocals. Great reaction Harri.❤ Great choice JK. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada ❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦

This was perhaps the first album by a Rock singer doing pop standards. Ringo thought of this back in 1970. Ringo sings Night and Day, Bye Bye Blackbird, Stardust, Love is a Many Splendored Thing, You Always Hurt the One You Love, and other songs of the genre.

Thanks, Harri, for the warm reaction. You always focus on the positive, and there was a lot of positive in this Sentimental Journey. I think 7.5 is a fair rating for his voice, and I would add a 9.5 for the producer of this version, with kudos going to the orchestra, the dancers and the backup vocalists who floated down at the end. Oh, and of course, Ringo's smile is always a 10! Cheers!

Ringo is amazing! He has many great turners and had the support of George and Paul as well. My favourites are Photograph and I Don’t Treat You Like I Should, with Linda and Paul! ❤❤❤❤. I’ve seen one of his All Starr band tours, the guy is so tiny in stature but he can ROCK IT OUT! 🇨🇦

Ringo gets a lot of flack, but the guy is just out there doing what he loves. He would never claim to be the greatest singer in history, nor is he trying to be.

I never knew that Ringo did this. It was one of my mom's favourite songs but by Doris Day. Thanks JK and Harri.

This is taken off a album of the same name, the album cover has a picture of his mum and dads local pub on it i think it was called the 'empress'.the so gs are all oldies that his parents would have listened to or even sung in the pub.He used diffrent producers on the tracks to get diffrent sounds

What you said about his dance moves is true of other drummers, too. Alex Van Halen is not a good dancer in any Van Halen video (Hot for Teacher, ex.). Maybe drummers have rhythm, but aren't super comfortable moving? They usually are sitting. : )

Ringo doesn't maatch up well to Doris Day or others I've heard do this song. Beyond that, you seriously over-rate his voice. I adore Ringo, and don't hate his voice, but can't claim to like it, just him.
