My collecting is primarily comic books but I love how there is a nice cross-over between the toy and gaming communities. This is my favorite chanel now but it has also sparked interest in Retro Rick and Pixel Game Squad. The guest appearances and cross-over videos make me feel like our "shared universe" is expanding and I love that. Marvel got nothing comparatively. You guys are the new generation of superheroes. 🙂

The pixel squad and retro Rick make me think about one thing Ryan said in video about game systems and “aging out”. Rick seems to be about a decade younger and is heavily interested in Power Rangers, TMNT and other stuff that are late eighties early nineties. Makes me wonder if Joes and Star Wats stuff will drop in price in another decade as us 80’s collectors really get old. Like when the guy came in to trade the 12 inch Joe figures. The market for those is drying up as the people who played with are really getting up there. Not only will some of us become collectors of dinosaur toy lines, we will be old dinosaurs.

I think that was mentioned somewhere, the market for joes and older toys will dry up cause kids today dont really care about toys anymore, the die hard collectors sometimes stick to the nostalgia and once thats over, so is the market. Take retro games for example, yes they are expensive now but for how much longer, try showing a kid from today a nintendo game, they think its crap, kind of like how i felt (feel) about old Atari games.

You are right about that for sure. I cheated when dipping my toe in retro game world (due to family locations at the moment I had a lot of time when weather was bad last winter and found the Game Chasers channel). I picked up one of those emulators for a 100 bucks and it has 15000 games or so. Even having played Atari as a kid those games are rough now, and some master system and Nintendo are as well. I hope these guys and others that actually enjoy(Ed) what they are selling can make as money off it as long as they can. Guess that is why I am not a small business owner, I would be worried already about its demise right from the get go.

The comments on this video are absolutely insane, it clearly shows the judgement of people that you've only seen one video of. If you watch Retro Rick as well as the Pixel Game Squad channels these are super nice and genuine dudes. Yes, they like to have a good time and make a lot of jokes, thats okay! Nothing wrong with having fun while hunting and collecting, it doesn't need to be so serious. I've watched them both for years now and they find good deals here and there, of course, but they also try to pay up very very frequently. They aren't always lowballs, those are just jokes and its the way this viedo happens to be edited that makes them come across as not. They are always super appreciative and show love to the owners of these stores and try and pay MORE than people ask from time to time to maintain those relationships within the collecting community. Negativity sucks, no need to be so harsh so quickly. Assumptions will get everyone nowhere fast. Take a little time and check out there videos, if you don't enjoy them, thats okay too!
