@@mbrusyda9437 The combo is just Telefon summons Telefon, because Telefon is level 1, so rolling the die does not matter because no matter the roll, you're still getting Telefon back. And since Telefon is not a hard OPT, you can reuse the effect over and over and over again, and rolling the die basically does nothing but waste time. Yes, the roll determines how much LP you gain....but it's Telefon *FTK* meaning the opponent is gonna lose that turn and it doesn't matter what your LP total is because you are playing out the turn to win. So yes, blue was trying to massively rule shark to not lose to Telefon FTK, and both red and the judges in the call were trying to say "It's fine for red to not roll the die because he is FTK'ing you bro" and blue was just being a toxic rule shark about it. Why blue wasn't banned for it, I have no idea, because he clearly should have been banned under the banner of "Rule Sharking / Toxic Behavior"

For those unaware: Telefon effect rolls a d6, you gain LP equal to the result x 100, then you summon a Morphtronic monster with a level equal or lower than the result from grave. This is able to target another copy of itself, and it's a soft once per turn. Meaning that as long as you always keep one in grave, Telefon's effect will ALWAYS succeed in summoning another copy of itself because it's level 1. As long as you can keep getting one in grave (which is pretty easy, helloooooo infinite link material!), you can keep respawning it as much as you want. And if you can tribute a Telefon off in some way that does damage, there's your FTK. You can even insulate it with an Apollousa, since Nib will ruin your day.

Blue was trying to rule shark red because he didn't "properly" resolve Telefon, because he knew he was getting FTK'd, and since rolling the die on DB takes a day and a half, if red did that for EVERY...SINGLE...EFFECT USE...the game would literally take until retirement to finish the FTK combo. Telefon FTK only runs the level 1 Morphtronic phones anyway, so Telefon will always get its effect off, so to not lose, he basically rule sharked to try and give red a game loss and potential ban, which is just the lowest form of toxicity there is in this game.

This isn't even just something that "most players do" to avoid looping combos from taking a long time, it's literally in Konami's official policy that when performing a controlled loop like this that players should perform the loop once, then declare how many times they wish to repeat it and then resolve the effects that many times without actually performing the actions again. I suppose, ironically telefon might be a bit of a gray area, as even though the lp gain doesn't matter in the long run, it does mean that the loop isn't completely determinable. But realistically I can't imagine any judge ruling against the use of fast-forwarding here unless the opponent actually had some sort of interaction that would make the lp gain matter.

But still, shortcutting a combo as to not take an insane amount of time is common in card games and blue just came off as rule sharking to try and steal a win.

@@SupPhil301 This is not a loop, but not because it isnt the topologic loop. What you stated was a "mandatory loop" and will end up destroying a card on the field unless it changes the gamestate in some way and will end in a game loss. There is also the six samurai loop, what it does is build counters but is not mandatory. What makes it a loop is that at the end of the combo you have the same amount of extra deck cards by the end of it and the same cards on field or in the grave to repeat it again. This is a loop that is NOT mandatory and you can just declare how many times you want to do it. Telephon isnt this because you lose some extra deck cards and you can not just say "repeat this 100x" because there isnt a way to send telepon to the GY. If you had cannon soldier on the field, it would be a loop. Because you could go "Telepon, Cannon Soldier, repeat 1000x until dead". You need a repeatable gamestate (this includes the extra deck) to call something a loop.

That is not what Drytron God was trying to do. Drytron god knows the effects of the cards he is talking about. The point Drytron god is trying to make is that he wants all his opponents to go *exactly* how the cards are stated with no skipping any steps. Why does he want this? Simple -> *To call a judge and ask for his opponent to be Punished* Noticed how Drytron God doesn't care about anything the judges were doing. What he wanted is the judges to give his opponent a game loss for not going through the infinite loop. Because the judges were not stating that his opponent should be punished the guy started becoming belligerent which is why he kept saying "Enforce the rules" as in "Punish the rulebreaker". All the dude cared about was trying to get a free win when he knew he was FTK'd.

If he had the out he wouldn't be so adamant in ignoring any of the Judges attempts to appease him by going through the steps via the logs (which would've allowed him to respond). He didnt respond and therefore he didnt have the out. This is doubly the case because he tries to say "You can't take back actions" which is contingent on the clause of "You aren't activating them correctly". Meaning he wants his opponents cards to "Fizzle" ergo straight up discarding them without effect. This all points to Drytron God not only not having the out but trying his best to shoot for a DQ on his opponent. It is well known that once you perform an infinite loop once, you dont have to keep repeating it step by step. You can state how many times you want to do it. Do it once and then all subsequent times it will be turbod through. If you have an out, it would need to be used then. "Hand Traps" are on the turn player who is doing the loop and he didnt activate anything in response to the loop. Now if you recall, the judges were saying "It doesn't matter because you are getting FTK *THIS* turn. a turn would be the turn player, the one who is currently doing the telefon loop. Therefore if Drytron God had nothing to respond to, he was losing right then and there.

That guy just draw no handtraps vs a Telephone FTK and didn't wanted to lose so he instead choosed the rulesharking way to get a game loss advantage so he in the second game could win, i'm 100% sure thats what happend there.

Yea duelingbook had these players where really they never wanted to accept that they just got beat by an FTK so they try to make every excuse in the book or self rule to get out of it. Then when the judges even say "yea this is a loop where stuff *has* to activate no matter what so this part takes the longest and is irrelavent because you're gonna be dead." Away from that i was facing an otk draw exodia deck someone was using on me and i noticed they were using a "may" type card effect. they told me "hey this is gonna be an infinite loop so you lose" and i was just "I want to see all of it played out." some back and forth about how irrelavent it was but he continued on right up until he MISSPLAYED an effect because he was going too fast and completely forgot to resolve his "may" effect correctly by that point 3 other cards were played but because it didn't hit correctly he didn't get a 1 extra draw he needed and his turn had to end. Of course he's like "oh uh yea i just forgot to do this so it still goes off." Instantly im like Nuh uh you screwed up a ftk the hell if im gonna let you take that back." Which i called a judge and it was in my favor to which the dude left pissed off because he had 0 defensive measures on his field and with me going 2nd i was going to ftk him myself.

While the guy is a shark, i feel like hes just a uninformed shark if he doesnt seem to get how this is a loop that would take forever. If the telephon guy only started doing the loop, id probably rule that he properly resolved his stuff for maybe 2 loops, then go "hey so this is infinite, so if you dont mind im skipping steps"
