You realize in a sport like swimming your peak can only last months - and you will NEVER swim those times again no matter how much you train. Women don’t have time to refuse to compete. An atheletes prime is way shorter than their entire athletic career. There have been studies that suggest there is a positive correlation between a woman reaching a second athletic peak AFTER the birth of her SECOND child. Our athletic abilities all come down to hormones and timing. No ones peak is the same however it usually comes around the same age.

I was tearing up through this entire video. I was in high school track when Title 9 was just up and coming, and I experienced the girls' team being suddenly cut for lack of funds but the boys' track team remained intact. I worked so hard to became the second fastest sprinter on the team, and the cuts were devastating to me. Although it didn't work out for me, I have been proud to be part of something that contributed to more opportunities for the young women who came up after me. When I hear Riley's story it makes me cry. Everything we worked so hard for is just being torn down.

In my recent (former) employment as a parole/probation officer we had a whole day 'training' course on pronouns and gender identity and so forth. What a farce it was. My clients had far more important things to worry about than whether they were addressed as he or she or them or what the fuck ever. That was not a priority. I had court papers to write, program referrals to send, clients needing to report, and I had to put it all off to learn about pronouns and other bullshit. The world has gone mad.

Two of my friends have their sons decide they were women. It is crazy. One is a straight trans woman, and the other is a lesbian. The one that is a lesbian decided he was a woman, but still likes women. He had a girlfriend at the time, and they stayed together for a while, but eventually broke up. Now he has a new girlfriend. So if he wants to go to the gym, he can shower with the women, and look at all the women that he is attracted to.
