I was the terran in this game, pleasantly surprised when I saw this video in my recommendations, haha! Excellent analysis by Harstem ofc! :) I play Sc2 here and there for fun and usually just do odd builds. The guy messaged me after the game telling me that I must be smurfing. Let's be clear - I'm a 4200 mmr random player for a reason lmao. When I played terran I did this style against toss and got to around 4500-4600. I found that ravens proved to be a decent counter to collossi, and the element of stupidity of doing mass reaper against protoss is sufficient to win some games ^.^ Mass reapers is bad but it's fun so I do it.

19:11 Harstem, there's a feature in SC2 replay viewer that allows you to take control of one player's army if you're watching this alone or, if you're watching it with someone else, you can literally play vs eachother using both armies and structures that these two players were using. And the replay where you decided to take control over some army will save like a completely new, without overwriting the one you where watching. Hope you see it and maybe use in some of your videos.

Going for a starport instead of a robo, just staying at home, don't lose his stalkers in the dumbest possible way, not recalling his colossi to the wrong base... I mean one can obviously loose to some stupid builds, but if he watched the replay once, especially as a master league player, he should have realized all his bad calls and not be complaining about it. Also Harstem barely wins beating gm with stupid stuff against opponents of his own level. Most of the time he wins against players around 6k and below. Thats not the same skill level.

Proxy hatch against reaper, the first push with stalkers just running into the terran without even attack move, not cancelling the natural, the later push with 7 stalkers and 1 coloss with no termo lance... The toss just obviously sucks. Only a protoss can be master league with this skill level lol

And _still_ had reapers enough to jump in and kill half the main mineral line if he would've known and just went for it. Would probably take some stalkers with him as well. The toss claimed terran was +1k smurf but played like they were 3.5k apart, at the least.

I am way past my prime as a gamer as far as my age goes, but thanks to your help with your videos, I've finally managed to reach platinum on NA after 8 years of playing starcraft II on and off. Never thought that was possible, I know that's sounds silly to most people (to get to platinum), but I've came from a long way to get there and to be able to actually beat platinum players regularly is a big milestone for me. i mean, the fact that the reaper army was so huge aside. correct me if im wrong but...trying to do a warp prism harass like this seems terribly ineffcient against mass reaper right? the big benefit of a warp prism harass is that you can move the units between the 3 bases significanty faster than your opponent can move around. which works great if they're having to move a pack of queens/lings/marines around..but when the reapers can move along basically the same path as your prism...you kinda lose the one benefit you have. correct?

The Protoss did seem fairly confused, at least in this game. To me it looked like a player that had some odd cliches in his head of how he is supposed to play, of what is supposed to be "good" play. Like the Stalker prism or the quick upgrades or expand no matter what. It's probably the most "unsolid" Protoss gameplay I have ever seen. The first reactions did still seem fine, but afterwards it looked a bit incoherent, like he was stringing random things together.

While I have often died to mass reaper (and good to hear about what I can do with 3 colossus in that scenario), I am in Gold 1. Accusing someone of smurfing as you lose though that's just not on. Someone did that to me in a PM after a game recently but what did they expect when they're trying to fight archon colossus chargelot and have no tanks and no widow mines? I did try to explain how building tanks would have helped but like so many people who say rude things after losing they had already blocked me. Thank you, Harstem, for the useful learning points.

Why would air be the response as well? Like the threat of mass Reaper is to wipe your workers in no time, just make big ground army and A-move to the other side, you should win any fight because Reaper suck in actual fights (you should also win a base trade, though scammy Terrans might try to force a draw lifting building, so get a Phoenix or Voidray, at least, but sometimes you can burn their buildings before they flee)
