Converting prisoners of war, capturing women as prizes of war, and sometimes asking a royal to convert to Islam for better position was the only recorded ways muslims could convert hindus, if you will read some delhi sultanate books, they knew that muslims were as little as “salt in a dish” and therefore this could never be an Islamic nation. The ran away from him and established a small City state called Vijayanagara. It is not even hard enough to defeat a mighty empire like Delhi Sultanate. Actually Vijayanagara is a small kingdom until the time of Krishnadevaraya. He defeated other South Indian kingdoms like Hoysala Kingdom, Later Chola - Chera - Pandya etc. and Vijayanagara Empire include a region of Andra, Telengana, Tamil nadu, North part of Kerala and even Sri lanka. After his regin Vijayanagara empire starts declaining and later defeted and declained by Deccan Sultanates.
