I rode on a rented Meteor (brand new without number plate and only 5 litre fuel, which had to be filled many times by 1 litre bottles in the way because there are almost no petrol pumps in the jungle) from udaipur to kumbhalgarh in last november. It was raining all the way but reached kubhalgarh and was strangely felling connected to the fort. Felt like there is some sense of belonging from past life. I prayed in neelkanth mahadev temple and sat there till sunset. So lost in the mystery of fort that I was late for return journey and was doing crawling speeds of 20kmph due to very low visibility in fog and rainy jungle. many local people suggested not going through the adivasi area in night but still went taking the name of our gurus and taking inspiration for great maharana kumbha. Was one of the most adventurous rides of my life. When I came back home and researched and saw material on kumbhalgarh, I was astonished and the sense of appreciation and belonging deepened further. Was shocked to know that he was deceptively killed by his own son in the very same Neelkanth mahadev temple that I was attached to, so much. I'm definitely going back next time with family and will see the fort and all the temples in detail with a good guide. Maharana Kumbhakaran ke lie jo dil me ijjat aur samman hai, wo aur kisi raja se kahin jyada hai. In this life I am born in delhi but I'm sure in past life I have a deep connection to the rich culture of Rajasthan. The people, the food, the place, everything keeps pulling me back. पर राजपूतो ने 7 वी सदी से 12 वी सदी तक 500 सालों तक सफलतापूर्वक मुस्लिम अरब आक्रमणकारीयो और तुर्क आक्रमणकारीयो को भारत में अपना राज्य स्थापित करने से रोकें रखा।फिर सन 1192 में तराईन के द्वितीय युद्ध में पृथ्वीराज चौहान कि हार हूई और दिल्ली पर मुस्लिम सल्तनत स्थापित हूई। तब भी राजपूतों ने आने वाले 100 सालों तक मुस्लिम दिल्ली सल्तनत को दक्षिण भारत में नहीं घुसने दिया। राजपूतों ने दिल्ली सल्तनत को उत्तर भारत में ही उलझाए रखा। फिर अल्लाउद्धिन खिलजी ने सन 1305 के बाद दक्षिण भारत जीता। पर राजपूतो ने वापस सन 1330 तक आते आते दिल्ली सल्तनत को परास्त कर वापिस पूरे राजस्थान, उत्तरी गुजरात, पश्चिम सिंध, उत्तरी और पूर्वी मध्यप्रदेश,सौराष्ट्र सहित बहुत बड़ा भुभाग दिल्ली सल्तनत से मुक्त करवाकर वापिस हिन्दू शाशन स्थापित किया

Bro ur education has done u injustice, or u haven’t studied very far, school history usually puts more focus on what their state education board passes as its curriculum, our history taught is about empires, Asoka, Chandragupta, Aurangzeb coz they were emperors, eg I m from Maharashtra, ssc board educated, we were taught everything about Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his resistance and victories against the Mughals. Of course we learned about Mughals and mauryas and the southern conquest. But the idea was to learn from their victories and losses, why and not about who was righteous. They also taught tolerance… most highlighted kings were those that knew and encourage religious equality and tolerance…

@@AnirudhSingh-gq7mp मारवाड़ सन 1438 से सन 1453 तक महाराणा कुम्भा के अधीन था। सन 1438 में चित्तौड़गढ़ किले में मारवाड़ के शासक राव रणमल कि हत्या कर दी गई। उसके बाद मेवाड़ के महाराणा कुंभा ने मेवाड़ के सामन्त रावत चुण्डा को मारवाड़ पर अधिकार करने के लिए भेज दिया।व रावत चुण्डा ने सन 1438 में मारवाड़ पर अधिकार कर लिया तब से लेकर सन 1453 तक मारवाड़ पर महाराणा कुम्भा का ही अधिकार रहा । बाद में सन 1453 में राव रणमल के पूत्र राव जोधा जी ने सन 1453 को मंडोर वापस जीता और मारवाड़ पर अधिकार कर लिया। और बाद में राव जोधा और महाराणा कुम्भा के बीच संधि हो गई।

The light and sound programme that happens here is brilliant, we drove from Ranakpur to Kumbhalgarh for it, adventurous drive with forest , hills and crocodile infested river flowing along the gorge. One of the most underrated place in Rajasthan (including Ranakpur)
