I'd recommend he does some youtube or skillshare tutorials on graphic design and typography to help boost the quality of his designs themselves, as well. To compete with the flood of other sellers, the designs themselves have really gotta have wow factor

The shop title “Nook an Cranny”has a semantic issue. The well-known saying is “Nook AND Cranny”. If one writes the word “and” without the “d” there should be an apostrophe where the “d” would be. Like this: an’ “Nook an’ Cranny” would be much more catchy🤔

Honestly, I still don't quite understand what he is selling. I mean, it's clear he's selling products to people who like camping, but why should they buy his products specifically? Do they solve a particular problem? Is it the design that attracts them? Are they looking for a service? I believe most beginners need to answer this question: what is the benefit of their product? Is it a service, like printing a name on a t-shirt? Is it a cool design? Or does it solve a problem, like next-day gift delivery?

Not everything is a problem, though. That being said...what I'm 'finally' starting to realize is branding. What's your brand? Do you have a message? I think too many of us (me included) throw a bunch of stuff at the wall to see what sells. But what's your gimmick to get a following? Etsy is so full of designs (good and bad) that it's really hard to stand out. Even harder with our own website/ecom store.

@@thebikeracer I believe that first, you need to decide what to sell. The niche doesn't even matter. You need to understand if you just want to make money. In that case, selling services is the easiest way to make sales on Etsy and generally. You can sell a plain t-shirt with just the customer's name on it, and it will sell because it's a service. Then you can hire an assistant to insert the names into the orders, creating passive income. Selling designs is the hardest because for them to sell, they have to be extraordinary. If it's important to you that people buy your specific designs, then you need to work on and improve them. Even when you create something extraordinary and cool, it might take years for people to notice you unless you invest a lot of money in advertising. This path isn't for everyone, but for some reason, many still choose it.

@@elenasinitsina5797 Agree 100%. I have one idea I'm working on/debating. Time is my enemy right now. What bugs me is most of the 'experts' leave out the getting consistent CONVERTING traffic part out of the equation.
