This episode has hands down been the most helpful video I've seen in a while. We are new (3mo)in etsy, we started digital as she did, moving to POD posters/canvas, super saturated, we are aware but we have a much greater understanding of WHAT we should do to make it successful. We rushed onto etsy with zero plan... just an idea. This gives us better focus.

First impression of title suggested to me it was another digital shop. I like Cris's idea....Dandelion Kids...that's really cute and you could get a cute cartoon-like pic of a kid with dandelions for your banner.

As a new Etsy shop owner (3 weeks) I have watched a lot of your videos in the last few weeks since you guys have come to my attention and have learned so much in the last few weeks (***over 50 still trying to learn something new and new business***) but still got scammed on setting up my shop. Maybe you could please do a video (for newbies in my age bracket that are not afraid to try something new but are not aware or up to date with all the new info) on what is and what isn't a real Esty emails and your shop needs to verify your bank details etc (Maybe you have but I haven't seen it yet) This video opened up my eyes to so much I was missing, that didn't make sense especially with marketing and growing my business. Thank you thank you thank you. Appreciate all that you share and teach

I think I saw on this channel or another that if you’re getting a message from Etsy there is now a separate “From Etsy” section that is truly only from them. If the messages are in the general box I think that’s the spam? I can’t remember where I heard that but I hope that helps

​@connorg.563 You are correct. Etsy messages should have an Etsy icon and should come ONLY from that special Etsy box in your Inbox. I don't think Etsy ever sends you messages asking you to give them banking info or to scan a QR code, etc. Those are scams.

So as someone with a small child with a lot of special accommodations in this realm (as well as my own mental health struggles over my lifetime) and a little bit of background in early childhood education, I've never heard the term calming/comfy corner, so as far as a search term I'm not sure how solid that would be. That being said, if I saw it in a description I could infer what it means. Maybe it would be a good shop name perhaps. I think rewording the item names/tags would be beneficial.

How I did my shop was I put in the price I ultimately wanted the price to be and started at 45% discount as I’ve gotten closer to 100 sales (88) I’ve lowered my discount, kept it at 20 - 30% and now that I’ve gotten my start seller badge I’m at down to a 10 - 15%
