This episode has been HIGHLY requested, and y'all must really enjoy seeing me stressed out, because this episode STRESSED ME OUT. Help! I'm In A Secret Relationship is a fairly new show, with their first episode only premiering in summer of 2022. The basic premise of the show, is that someone in a relationship and/or friendship, feels as if they are being hidden. So, they reach out to Rahne Jones and Travis Mills to get help, and get to the truth of why they are being hidden. The last episode we covered of this show, was an absolute dumpster fire, and this one is no different. This one is a lot messier, and I had a lot more to say, hence the longer video. Overall, Help! I'm In A Secret Relationship is extremely messy, so I love it, and I know you will too. The episode we are talking about in this video is Farrah and Neon, Season 2 Episode 15 depending on your streaming platform. I hope you love this video as much as I loved making it! i think Farrah’s issues stem from religious trauma and purity culture. lots of girls who practice abstinence will settle for the worse guys just because they claim to be religious and respects their boundaries. also, with the way the church tends to teach young girls, we aren’t really raised to question our partners, and just assume everything is for the greater good. as a religious person myself, it took a while to break from that mindset. but it’s a common issue, young christian girls dating horrible men because they want someone who’s “christian” (since it’s frowned upon to date outside the religion) and who’ll wait till marriage.

The word is "polygamy", not "polyamory". While it is technically a form of non-momogamy, an uneven, patriarchal, oversaturated, male dominated form of marriage involving 15 women half a man's age is not ethical. Polyamory is specifically a form of Ethical Non-monogamy. I am technically a Polyandrist. I have two male partners who are monogamous. But it is still ethical because I didn't force them to be monogamous, they decided that themselves for their own reasons. I don't seek any other partners, I don't cheat, we are all the same age within a couple years of one another (all mid to late 30s), all make about the same amount of money, etc. I just wanted to explain the difference, from the perspective of someone who actually has a similar dynamic to what this creep is talking about. It isn't impossible to have multiple partners or spouses. It isn't even impossible to have multiple partners who are monogamous themselves. But there are some elements that have to be present in order to make sure it remains ethical and safe. And a financially and status-established white man in his 40s manipulating and lying to more than a dozen women in their 20s, much less women of color trying to break into a creative industry, who live in his home, is not going to be an equitable relationship by any stretch.

Holy....I went through something almost identical, minus my ex being married. We were open WITH communication but he hide me and our relationship. 3 1/2 years in, found his OTHER Twitter where he was posting his hookups. He hid everything.
