So many of you have requested that I cover this show, and what better time to cover a new show, then right at the beginning of a new year! Help! I'm In A Secret Relationship is a fairly new show, with their first episode only premiering in summer of 2022. The basic premise of the show, is that someone in a relationship and/or friendship, feels as if they are being hidden. So, they reach out to Rahne Jones and Travis Mills to get help, and get to the truth of why they are being hidden. These hosts have amazing chemistry, and they are also very compassionate, so they truly make the show amazing. Overall, Help! I'm In A Secret Relationship is extremely messy, so I love it, and I know you will too. The episode we are talking about in this video is Max and Matt, Season 2 Episode 11 or 12 depending on your streaming platform. This was the first episode I had fully seen of this show, and knew immediately after watching, I had to discuss it with my besties! I've got very strong opinions, and as per usual, I know you will, so make sure to drop them down in the comments! Just another perspective on apologizing... My mom wouldn't let me say "I'm sorry" as a kid bc I had serious depression/self esteem issues since about 3rd grade. She felt like me saying I was "sorry" was reinforcing an idea that I was bad/lame (by that definition of 'sorry'), so I was always raised to say "I apologize for x, y, z" rather than using wording that sort of demeaned me 🤷‍♀️

I kinda feel for Max in a way, because I feel like I usually put more into friendships and relationships than other people. People also often mistake my feelings for romantic ones, or even obsessive ones, but it's just because I'm on the spectrum and sometimes feelings are hard for me to articulate. But it's hard not to feel rejected over even the smallest slight, so take it from me that if any of y'all feel that way, you'll feel so much better if you get therapy. Having someone to help you break down those feelings in a neutral setting is great for both you and your friendships.

I wanna comment on being friends with your ex as someone who’s friends with their ex. For me personally me and my (now ex) boyfriend both knew each other, so when he told me he loved me I was glad to be in a relationship. It only lasted for almost a year because we mutually agreed that we both felt insecure while in a relationship and we’re happy to just be friends. I feel like if both people mutually agreed that they don’t work out together and are happy as just being platonic soulmates or friends then it doesn’t matter in the end. As long as the two of you are happy then I see no problem with it. Not all relationships will end badly, it just means that in the end you were meant for someone else
