Richard Kay has the Opinion of Diana, but Diana used to change her mind often back then too. Lady Colin Campbell also knew Diana. Diana admitted to Lady C that she was the FIRST to cheat in that marriage with Barry Manakee. She also told Lady C that she didn’t blame Camilla for the way her marriage went. That it was all the “ yes” men surrounding her husband that she couldn’t stand. Diana actually asked Lady C to write her biography, but she wanted to be painted as a victim of the RF. Lady C declined the offer because she knew Diana wasn’t a victim. That’s when Diana went with Andrew Morton to write the book Instead. Diana left the RF because she said it was too stifling, always being told “ No, you can’t do that.” She didn’t really want to be Queen. I’m glad the truth is finally all coming out.

You choose to forget that it turns out that Diana was an absolute nightmare behind the scenes. As for that Panorama interview, she subsequently admitted that most of what she said was lies. She forgot to mention that by that time, there were 6 in their marriage. By 1986, Catherine had had at least three affairs, which she admitted to subsequently. She also admitted that essentially all she fed to Andrew Mortan was lies. She said all she wanted to do was desrtroy Charles and try to prevent him from becoming King. He was her children's father. They loved their father just as much as their mother. William did not speak to her for quite some time after the Panorama interview because he was so angry with her for what she did to his father. She has been dead for almost 27 years. As always happens with time, we get to know more and , and more of the whole truth. As the years have gone on, I find myself increasingly infurriated when people suggest that it was all his fault that his marriage fell apart. It is now clear from many sources that Diana must bear a huge amount of the blame. You need to move on and stop peddling an old myth. Diana did a lot of great things. But it is often said that charity begins at home. I can no longer bring myself to feel that outways the destruction she often brought to those who loved and the other people around her.

Diana was emotionally unstable which is unfortunately a big part of the reason her marriage failed. They did love each other but Diana was insanely argumentative and temperamental, extremely jealous and wanted attention every second of the day. She exhausted Charles (who is the opposite to that). After some years Charles turned to Camilla, his old love (found comfort through many conversations), and the marriage quickly went downhill from there.

It is my hope that if William and Catherine can re-do any of the regal protocol, it is how the heirs to the throne are raised. And I believe they are. The sense of entitlement, the spoiled childishness, the BP covering up of serious behaviour with no consequences and the lack of parental contact in their children’s daily routine are all issues the Wales’s are addressing in their own way and time. Prince William and Princess Catherine already changed things but not having a nanny for Prince George, only getting one when Princess Charlotte was on the way and their duties increased, Catherine had an ordinary upbringing in a close family and Prince William has been able to benefit by knowing the Middletons. The only one clinging on to old ways of doing things is Henry and his wife who play at royal duties, always leaving their kids behind.

That’s a big ask. The British nobility and royals want children to secure the survival of a dynastic family, but don’t want to be bothered with the hard work of raising children to be good people and citizens. You see this-in spades-in the family stories of both Diana Spencer and Sarah Ferguson. Both were emotionally abandoned by their parents at early ages.

No comparison, sorry, no comparison. I think The Palace should help him to find a meaningful activity. Not as a working royal, but something that would keep him happy. I really can’t see the King or Prince William thinking it would be a good idea to have Prince Andrew manage a Royal estate, or fill his father’s role as Ranger of Windsor. These roles need someone with good management skills and discernment, sadly I doubt that Andrew has either. My heart sank slightly, when it was announced that Sarah and Richard Kay would be on the panel this evening. They were mostly sensible for a change, though it’s time that Richard Kay got over his crush with Diana and recognise that she wasn’t entirely the innocent victim in the failure of the marriage.

As an American, I thought a foreigner's view might be interesting of some of the changes. I've watched the royal family since Diana and Charles as I married about the same time. Andrew does seem to want to stay close to his family and he and Sarah still are somewhat outsiders, but the family obviously does care about his well-being. I do notice we consistently see him at church services and I don't feel that is a contrived publicity shot. They all have been brought up with that instilled reverence that their faith trumps all, even though they fall short, just like all of us. It's way too soon to try to bring him back into the active working role, however. Angela Levin seemed to have a coronary at seeing him on Easter Sunday, but gosh...he was at church! As far as Queen Camilla, I find her so endearing because she never seems to stop smiling. even after so many years of being shunned and defamed. She seems to have a grounding effect on everyone she comes in contact with...most importantly King Charles. I am so glad he has her in his life. I think he is coming of his own now that he is not in Queen Elizabeth's shadow. Not to slight the queen in any way, but she and Prince Phillip did seem to become more "robotic" in greeting the public in later years, and how could anyone blame them after 70 years! King Charles and Queen Camilla do seem more approachable and warm to those they greet! You can see the difference in the expressions in Charles as he meets different people. He is truly connecting! May he live a long life. We all do love William and Catherine....and are very tired of the emotional strain the other two put on EVERYONE!

For all his faults she forgets that the "oaf" and "annoying little brother" has not trashed his family but has served his country with great distinction in the Navy - particularly during the Falklands war. Perhaps she can save her scorn for her ex-husband who has played his part over the past 14 years in the ruination of the UK and will hopefully soon find himself cast into oblivion in the same manner she wishes for Prince Andrew.
