Men are visual creatures so swiping is straightforward for them, if they’re moderately attractive. Women care about looks too but only at first impression so dating apps don’t work at all. Tinder gives you very little to go by and most men don’t even bother writing anything in their profile so all you’re left with is a picture. If a picture is all you’ve got to go by then it just becomes a beauty pageant. Based on only a picture to go by why would you pick someone unattractive? And this is the problem with online vs real life. In a real life scenario you get to immediately talk face to face. You might find common grounds, maybe you have the same sense of humour, same hobbies etc then all of sudden looks really don’t matter that much anymore and on a contrary the more matching positive qualities you find the more attractive the other person becomes to you. Online dating has ruined it for us all. Except for the horny ones looking for self gratification.
