Based on a previous video, It was during rehearsals, David ask Stell if he knew this song, Stell sang a most of that song, David then asked him to perform it that night. So no, no rehearsals where you get to practice it 3 or more times.

David Foster keeps on coming back to the Philippines as he said this country is a treasure trove of great singers. The audience were mostly corporate executives, businessmen and politicians and most of them were not familiar with SB19, let alone Stell. But the fact that they gave him a standing ovation was a testament that they were amazed by his talent. One adorable thing about Stell is that he always introduce himself as Stell of SB19 whenever he has a solo event.

Stell was supposed to be the opening act only. He already sang Defying Gravity, Adele's All I Ask and Room. All By Myself was a surprise, almost impromptu. Stell came straight from the airport as the boys had an event the previous night. He was doing the soundcheck when David asked Stell to practice All By Myself with him. And then David told Stell if he would like to perform it later. Stell couldn't say No. He was nervous especially since David changed the arrangement. Stell said he prayed, "Lord, please be my voice tonight". And he gave his all. Stell is a Countertenor, the rarest of all voices, and rarer still to be heard in pop music.

Yep that's the main vocalist of SB19. He has a really beautiful tone in his voice that even his high notes doesn't hurt the ears because they still sound melodic . This is one of the many reasons why SB19 is a super group for me.

What makes this performance even more incredible is that Stell was only supposed to be an opening act and this "All By Myself" performance was unplanned, not part of the concert repertoire, and an impromptu challenge from David Foster. It's insane to think that he had already sung three high-pitched and vocally demanding songs, and to top it off, he's not in the best condition (he's sick). I had to mention, too, that a day prior to the concert, SB19 had intense performances at an event. And the elephant in the room-he's a man, hitting the piece in female key and doing it cleanly. Stell is a legend in the making!

Actually, David Foster us the composer and producer of this song ALL BY MYSELF intended for Celine Dion ..David is Celine's mentor. we know how difficult this song is and knowing that it's tailor made for woman tone but STELL AJERO SLAYED it! There's a video clip in the beginning of this performance showing Celine Dion telling how she did not agree with David changing the note to a higher note, but did it anyway. Stell has performed All By Myself in one of their concert tour but that night wit David Foster was a different arrangement and it was impromptu. He was just doing a sound check for his opening performance but when David heard him, he was asked if he can sing it and he said yes if it's okay. It's true that a lot from the crowd didn't know him but some became a fan after that. Stell is an amazing singer and dancer and he is so humble! Thanks for your reaction, always loving it!

I like the way you blend in the music at the start and end of the video plus the additional clips at the intros and at the end of your videos. David Foster created this musical arrangement for this song for Celine Dion. Stell had previously performed this in an online concert of SB19 a couple of years back but this time he performed it in front of a live audience in a packed indoor arena. Stell was only supposed to perform three songs as an opening act for the concert but was asked during soundcheck for the show if he would like to perform this song during the main show. It was a show-stealer and was the talk of the town days following this feat.

This performance was never part of the plan. According to David's team, he likes to make some last-minute changes. Stell was meant to only front act David F's concert. Probably an hour before the concert, when it was his turn to do soundcheck, he went up stage and caught David F not leaving yet with his piano. As Stell turned his back on David so the latter could finish his thing, he suddenly called Stell and asked him does he have his in-ears on, then proceeded to ask if Stell could practise a song. Stell was shocked to know that it's All By Myself. They did a run through on the arrangement David made so Stell could be guided on what to do. It was just a run through, not an all-out performance yet, thus the usage of falsettos. After, David F asked Stell if the latter would like to sing the song. Shocked, Stell just responded, "If it's okay with you, sir." And the rest is history.
