I’ve got my driving license for 2 years now and don’t have a need for these videos but I love them weirdly enough.

Aw Mayank, I'm gutted for you, but take heart OK. I failed my Test the first time, they say those of us who pass the second time go on to make better drivers. Keep Driving, you were really good for most of your drive. You'll do it.

This learner needs lessons, he didn’t even realise or fully understand any of the mistakes he was making. He can drive but he has no idea about the expectations and rules required to pass a uk driving test. No left mirror checks exiting roundabouts. Turning in front of incoming traffic at a junction. Hesitation. So many combination of errors there but easy to fix. Hope he managed to pass. I’m sure he learned loads during this lesson

Sorry for the random question but, are you allowed to stop on a bus stop and on yellow zigzag lines to give way to oncoming traffic or if there are road works and a red traffic light?
@DrivingSchoolTVАй бұрын
Hey Wayne yes you can stop on zigzags and bus stops in traffic or for traffic lights. Just don't park on them. Unless it's zigzags and it's outside their times of operation
@WayneTulip-zm9gwАй бұрын
Hi, yes, that’s what I thought, in the Highway Code, with yellow zigzag lines, they’re covered by rule 238 which says “you MUST NOT wait or park, or stop to set down and pick up passengers on school entrance markings when upright signs indicate a prohibition of stopping”, I’d take that to mean that if there is no upright sign then the yellow zigzags aren’t enforceable so legally you’re allowed to park on them and drop off and pick up passengers on them but you shouldn’t do it, if there is an upright sign then the yellow zigzag lines are enforceable so you MUST NOT park on them and you MUST NOT pick up or drop off passengers on them, whether there is an upright sign or not I’d say you’re allowed to stop on them to give way to oncoming traffic or if there are road works and a red trafic light but you should avoid stopping on them, you should keep them clear at all times as they’re there to protect the school kids and the school staff and they’re there so the emergency services can easily get in and out of fire stations, hospitals etc, with bus stops, they’re covered in rule 243 of the Highway Code, which states “DO NOT stop or park at or near a bus or tram stop or taxi rank EXCEPT WHEN FORCED TO DO SO BY STATIONARY TRAFFIC”, as it’s not backed up by law you’re allowed to stop on a bus stop in a stationary queue of traffic but you should avoid doing so if you can, it’s best to not stop on yellow zigzag lines or on bus stops at all, even if you’re just giving way to oncoming traffic or if you’re just in a stationary queue of traffic, I’ve read online about so many drivers receiving a pcn for stopping on yellow zigzags and bus stops to give way to oncoming traffic or in stationary traffic, it’s best to not stop on them at all, if you never stop on them then you can never receive a pcn. 🙃

@@WayneTulip-zm9gwI would gently disagree, just a little bit! If you’re in traffic or at a traffic light or giving way stop a safe distance behind the car in front, don’t avoid the bus stop or zig zag. Zig zags and bus stops can be massive and the car behind is predicting where they’ll stop based on where you should stop. If you stop 15m back randomly because of a bus stop it’ll confuse and annoy following vehicles. When we don’t drive predictably that’s when accidents happen 😊
@WayneTulip-zm9gwАй бұрын
Yes mate, sorry, you’re absolutely right, I’ve seen yellow zigzag lines that seem to go on for miles (slight exaggeration!), it wouldn’t make sense to avoid them as you’re allowed to stop on them for reasons outside of your control, it’s the same with all no stopping clearways, whether it’s a yellow zigzag line with a sign that has days and times of operation or a bus stop with a sign that says no stopping except for local buses or a red route clearway or a 24 hour clearway or on a motorway, don’t stop if you can help it but you’re allowed to stop due to reasons beyond your control, it’s not your fault that there is traffic or a traffic light or road works, there’s always an exemption for reasons that are beyond our control. 🤗
