Wow! You both have very articulately described many of my views and experiences. As a youngster, I cheered passage of the 1964 civil rights act. I benefitted from those rights and joined the USAF and repaired radio equipment for special forces! During my service I met many people who possessed honor and integrity that would become part of my character as we all learn from those we admire. we confuse "mental illness" with "environmental depression" - did you know that there were studies done to patients that were recovering from serious surgeries and injuries where they were given highly addictive pain killers and medicine however once they left the hospital, they didn't become junkies. Long story short, they found that "addiction" is tied to the environment that you live in - let that sink in. Meaning if you pull the addict away from the environment that they're in, and drop them off in a completely new area where it isnt full of doom and gloom, they will have a greater chance of living a normal life than whatever treatment plan that we currently employ now to help addicts. Everyone drinks or does drugs to escape - if there wasn't a need to "escape", then there isn't a need to do the drugs/drink. Cheers.

As always, so much to unpack when Tom spits his lyrics. Love the line about how feminists would hate what women have become, "they fought for your right to vote, not show your butthole on onlyfans." The original feminist movement was about respect, it was about dignity, it was about seeing women as human beings. Today it's become about self-inflicted objectification for the pleasure of others, and somehow that's supposed to be "empowering." And the "white privilege" thing coming up again. It's amazing how widespread this idea has become considering how ignorant it is, especially for anyone who actually looks into the life story of the celebrities they've idolized. Just three off the top of my head I know you all know. Our boy Tom here grew up in "the hood," grew up in "the ghetto," grew up in a ratty house surrounded by gangs and drive-bys and drug dealers and all the stuff people seem to think "only black people know about." He's been through all that, been through drug and alcohol addiction, fought all those same demons. Then you look at NF. Don't recall if it was his biological or step father but the man used to beat the hell out of this kid. He had been at the mercy of an abusive alcoholic for years. His mother was a drug addict who OD'd leaving him feeling like he had no one left in the world. And, like Tom, he had to deal with the anti-white racism of the rap industry, people telling him he has no business trying to be a rapper because his skin color is "wrong." And then you've got Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park, who grew up being sexually abused by a grown man and then made to feel like he couldn't even be mad at him for it because that man had been abused when he was young, too. He fought all kinds of psychological trauma and issues, battled with drug addiction that got so bad his bandmates had to stage an intervention because he was so out of it he didn't even know what he had been doing. He spent his whole life having to pretend things were alright, that he was doing better, putting on that public face for the fans until he just couldn't any more and he took his own life. I'll throw a fourth one out there: Robin Williams. Dude brought nothing but happiness and joy to others but had none for himself. And I'm glad you touched on the disparity in how people react to "I'm a Christian" vs "I'm a Muslim." Both religious teach that homosexuality is an affront to God. But while Christianity simply says "so don't do it. And if you've already done it, stop doing it," Islam instructs its followers to drag the offender to the roof of the tallest building in the city and throw them off. And if they don't die the first time, drag them back up there and throw them off again, and to keep doing that over and over until they're finally dead. That's what goes on in literally every country in which Islamic Sharia Law is in place, and there are people HERE, in America, in CONGRESS, in the SENATE, with their names on the Democratic ballots pretending to stand for "diversity" and they're saying we need to throw out the Constitution and replace it with Sharia Law HERE. How fucked up is that? Not half as fucked up as the fact that tens of millions of Americans blindly throw their support behind these people as their offering upon the Altar of Diversity to the Cult of Wokeness. They are literally voting in favor of having the people they claim to support being brutally murdered without consequence because it's not only "legal," it's mandatory, and they think that makes them an "ally" to the alphabet soup brigade. It's why I can relate so strongly to the opening line of each verse in this song. "I love the Earth but I don't really want to save it." Things have gotten so twisted, so corrupted, so perverse, so insane, so repulsively backwards that it feels like there is no redemption, that it's beyond saving, that the only solution is to wipe it all away and hope whatever replaces it lasts longer. It is a very hopeless and nihilistic feeling and I hate that it is given so much upon which to feed and grow. Something's got to change. People need to stop playing at being "woke" and just wake the fuck up.

I really like the point Brad made about doubling the workforce. People don't want to talk about that, but it's so true. The bigger the workforce, means companies can pay less. It was common for one person to provide for their family. Now with the expanded workforce, you need 2 usually.

About ten years ago, Walmart was hiring unskilled labor off the street for $17/hr in North Dakota. It wasn’t because of “living wage” or any other government ridiculousness. It was because the oil boom depleted the unskilled labor pool which forced other companies to COMPETE for that labor force. EVERYTHING is determined by economic forces, even wages. Now look at college degrees. What do you suppose happens when everybody has a degree? The value of those degrees go down. You think it was a coincidence that they told every kid that you needed a college degree to be “successful”? Look what happened. Artificially inflated the demand for college and then threw money at it from the government. Look up the rise in tuition versus inflation. You will see them begin to diverge in the sixties. You know what happened in the sixties? The Federal government began to subsidize tuition. I found out that being "trans" is becoming a fad in my kids' middle school. One of my kids' friends told us about it, because a girl he dated for a short time decided that it would be "cool" to be trans. Read that again. Being trans is a new fad in middle school.
