There are pepple trying to blame her for what happened because "she shouldn't have been drinking". What?? With this logic, if i hit you over the head with a baseball bat then you shouldn't be upset with me because you were the one not wearing a helmet. You cant expect me to NOT hit you if i see you're not wearing a helmet. It's the consequences of not wearing a helmet. This is how y'all sound.

The school has a duty to protect her safety if what she says is true. That trumps their duty to provide education to him.

Its a mighty thin slice of ham that doesn't have 2 sides . Both of young adults are trying to paint a picture that leaves them blameless. She was intoxicated and was taken advantage of by young men whom none of which did the right thing as a real man would do.

@@General_Zod99 People can both be drunk but blackout drunk is different than just drunk. If she was in a blackout then that’s why she doesn’t remember what happened.

@@General_Zod99 He could be lying about how drunk he was too. Who’s to say? If she was blackout then she wouldn’t remember. I don’t think anyone will be getting the whole truth from a Dr. Phil video, but there are multiple possibilities here and this guy seems like a lunkhead.

I wished we lived in a society where women were not shamed and ridiculed. Unfortunately we do; and when a woman gathers up the courage to report a rape - believe her. I hope he learns his lesson. When Dr. Phil asked what he hopes for her, I would have liked to hear him wish her peace of mind and heart. He just doesn't show any empathy for her. Sad.

Unfortunately we also live in a Society where some Women lie about it, and make it harder for actual victims to be believed. I believe the Girl here because her story makes more sense than his does, and it’s consistent. I follow the evidence, not the Gender

Accusations and arrests should never be made public. Only convictions should be public, but even that is questionable sometimes.

Dr Phil is getting dangerously close to saying something along the lines of, "Well she shouldn't have been wearing that or walking down that alley at night" with this young man. Not saying he's guilty or innocent, just saying that telling him he put himself into a really bad position by going to the party and drinking is akin to victim blaming. Could you imagine if he had said that to the girl?

@@pablo3615 interesting. Would you have told a 6 year old victim that she shouldn't have gone into her piano teacher's living room alone too? Or the little boy that got molested by his pediatrician? Should he not have gone into the examination room with him? Is it their fault too? Get your head straight.

@@justv5136 Dude, you're comparing a 6 year old to teenagers who made a choice to drink when they knew they shouldn't. A 6 year old and a 16 year old are completely different.
