Hell, I've been that friend before. For those who are wondering what became of Daonte (like I was), I took the time to figure out the season and watch EVERY episode of "Love After Lockup" that had Daonte in it. ***SPOILER ALERT***. After a three way confrontation with Daonte, Nicolle and her female ex Tia from prison, Nicolle admits that she wants to be in an open relationship/marriage with Daonte and see other people on the side, including Tia. Daonte rejects Nicolle at that moment, stating that he doesn't want to be second place or to share her with anybody, and he walks away. He and his friend Calvin later burn Nicolle Jr. on a small boat and push it in the water. He works out in the gym alongside Derek, who asks him if he's done with Nicolle for good. Daonte confesses that if Nicolle ever changes her mind, he might still try again with her. He was never allowed to sleep with her, touch her body or sleep in the same room with her. He has absolutely nothing to show for all the time and money spent on her. Meanwhile, Nicolle is with Tia and rationalizes to the audience that Daonte will eventually come back to her, because "they always do."
