I love that we live in a time when we can hear stories like these. A lot of these go under the radar unless they make it to the nfl. But playing profession ball isnt the milestone of success. People that have regular jobs are successes. "The measure of success isnt about what you accomplish in life, but what you overcome along the way."

FlemLo does so much to give these young athletes and dreamers a deep human dimension that is overlooked when we think about athletes today. The character and sheer will power of some of these kids makes them worthy of the accolades and adoration that fans usually reserve only for the most accomplished and most highly compensated athletes in sports. A young man like Floyd Allen is not only the kind of kid you'd be proud to have on your team, but also to have in your work place, as your neighbor, or as role model for your own children. Much respect for FlemLo!

I was training for football after being misdiagnosed for 19 years and unable to be able to play in school. I was offered a chance at a Cali Juco after training and putting some tape together in drills. I turned it down after a lot of prayer and thought and recognition that I would have to live in a 2 bed apartment with 10 people and paying $600/month. I was about to turn 25 and my career path of nursing wasn't available there. I could have chose other Jucos that offered, like one in Arkansas and one in Alabama, but I ultimately decided to stop chasing. These guys are amazing and at almost 32, while I wonder if i could have made it as a LT, I am just happy guys like Floyd kept going. God bless that man and all the others like him.

This story means so much to me. There was once a long time ago that i was a promising wrestler out of eastern North Carolina. I was good enough to compete for several national championships tournaments. However fate had it be that i would never place first place in those tournaments. After tearing my acl during my senior year in high school. I decided to try my luck at JCSU playing football one of few schools that had askes me to consider walking on. After trying to rush back from an acl that wasn't completely healed i failed at that attempt as well. To make a long story short life isn't about how many times you fail. It is about how many times you get up and keep fighting. Now a parent of a beautiful baby girl i get the opportunity to instill that in her as well. Keep making the vids i really love the content. Much love and respect GRIOT

This man is the 1%. The California JUCO struggle is basically made to break you. I went through it and it was the toughest experience of my life. What this guy did is very common for JUCO athletes in California, but his success is uncommon. Like you said, many guys will just pack up and head home but Allen’s resiliency is absolutely inspiring. Thank you for not just sharing his story, but the whole struggle of playing JUCO ball in California

This was an awesome story! This reminds me of how I got my NFL workouts. Military service, college football ACL injury, school screwed me over, the homelessness and meager living conditions, my car was stolen but I still moved forward. Congratulations to this young man and I hope he does great things.
