I was a vet tech for a long time. Let me tell you... when you get a dog like this, who is just READY to die, and you start working on him... The first time you go into his cage and you get that first little tail wag, (3:50) when he has no earthly reason to to be wagging his tail. When he shows you that you have given him with more kindness love and compassion then he has known in a long time... It doesn't matter if this first one of these cases, or the 50th... it is one of those moments in your life that you KNOW you've made a difference. There is no "glory" no applause, no likes, and most often there is nobody else there to share that moment between you and the dog, but it is one of those moments that you will most cherish in your life.

When you encounter a dog like this, how do you recommend feeding? I once rescued an old bloodhound that was nothing but skin and bones. I found him wandering in traffic in freezing sleet and rain. I don't know how he kept from getting hit. He was shaking uncontrollably when I brought him home. He ate, then laid on a soft bed I made for him. I covered him to hold the heat in and he slept nearly 24 hours He was so still and not moving at all. I feared he was dying. I kept checking to see if he was still breathing. He was so hungry that I started him on some good dry food and fried eggs and whole milk for over a week. I thought that eggs would be a quick and easy to digest protein. My old boy gained 14 lbs in little over a month. and was beautiful, looking like a show dog! He eventually died a happy, goofy dog. I wish he were still with me. I'll always remember taking him to the park where he would chase the squirrels into the trees. I still love you, Jimmy. Thank you for loving me old boy!

He really perked up when I cooked him fried eggs in butter!

This level of abuse is so sickening to see, but then it's so heartwarming to watch you fix this poor doggy. I really like how some countries like France have made animal cruelty charges much more serious, so if you harm an animal it's the legal equivalent of harming a human. We need more laws like that in this world to help prevent cruelty like this.

Sadly 7 years later, after numerous surgeries in attempts to save him from cancer I had to put it down, but we both had years full of great memories and unconditional love. Now I'm sitting here with my 3 legged cat watching this video! Animals who look/are different than the usual need love too (:

I am a single mom with no pot to pee in! Honestly I probably have $400 to my name after paying bills during the quarantine after losing my job. But, I have never been more moved to donate as I do here. If I can squeeze out even $20 anyone can!!!! Blessall of you at the Ranch and no my piddly donation won't cover even a shot! But it adds up to save a life! How moving.... Many blessings to everyone making this possible. You have fantastic hearts and to me.... A Miracle to a beautiful spirit! I love animals more than people! Lol having an emotional support for I believe truly saved my life and my babies. We endured unbearable pain and this crazy rescue dog is who glues us together. I promise to donate monthly because....well it feels amazing knowing it goes to these God given miracle Vets and loving assistants, don't forget even a secretary that makes it so we can enjoy life with our furry kids longer. There's never enough time....you are all in my prayers again, if I can scrounge up $20 so can anyone! Many blessings to you and yours, thank you.🙏💗

I love seeing the transformation of dogs with mange. They go from looking and feeling awful to beautiful body and spirit. It's neat seeing what they really look like and what their true personality is. Not that I would ever wish mange on a dog, don't get me wrong. It's so sad. It just makes me happy to see them get the help they need.

This should be a TV show. They have all these shows on cable about restoring broken down old cars but you guys actually restore a life which is far more beautiful. And the smile I get from seeing that pup play around after being on deaths doorstep is way bigger than even seeing a show about a restored 66 Vette Sting Ray.

Proving a point... i dont think so, you're just some edgy dude who likes to provoke and shit on people with different opinions because he thinks his is far superior. Good bye our lord and savior, ruler of the earth, with an ego so big it wont fit into a normal house.
@yoursnape91356 жыл бұрын
These "facts" aren't my facts, animals ARE part of the society and i think that not only I disagree with you on your "facts" lol but others too. It's nobodys fault that you are dead inside, it's your own. So why dont you get off your high horse and accept that there are people around you who think outside the box? Also calling your opinion a "fact" is plain stupid in the first place... but well i guess you wont take anything out of that discussion anyways.

I wish all of the adopters would share with us - we'd love to see how things turn out, as 99.9% of those who go through the Vet Ranch treatment turn out to be such awesome critters!
