The British bands were good!!! I'm African American and I fell in love with TFF bc I would stay up all night watching video shows trying to catch the ones by black artists. So, I got a chance to see British acts that I never would have been exposed to like TFF. Music then was uniting the world and they shut that down quickly!!!

you know numbnuts, every decade is revered by the people who lived it. The 1940s are nonexistent. The 1950s are becoming that. 60s music is disappearing. even Elvis is feeding off and listeners on Spotify. 20-year-olds today are too busy listening to their own music that they’re going to revere 20 years from now to worry about the 80s. As great we may think it is, 100 years from now it’s going to be like us listening to sailor shanties. We know they exist, but we absolutely have no interest in them. People just don’t like antique music.

Roland actually played rhythm AND lead guitar when I saw them in 1985 at a nice outdoor amphitheater one summer evening in California for the Scenes from the Big Chair tour. Roland, Curt, Manny, Ian Stanley and saxophonist William Gregory. It was like magic. It was like I felt high from the music/performance. TFF was my favorite band from 1981 to 1985. Still, I listen to their later songs, and some are good, but it's just not the same, and that's okay. Very talented guys.

I mean, this was 1983 and they were doing mash up's...another reason why I am so glad I was born when I was, being a teenager during one of the greatest music periods in history is nothing but a gift. I went to see this band and many many others during this time and I knew it was great then, but seeing this now, it only validates why I always thought this band was great and cool! Oh, and Rolands Firebird is freaking beautiful

yes this was the time, when you go to a concert, hearing a band of kids say this is a new song that we wrote called "HEAD OVER HEELS" or SHOUT! or EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD" and another band in the nearby city called, Depeche Mode or The Cure or Duran Duran saying the same thing about songs theyd written and are about to sing!
