How do I do this for ten or 15 and keep and keep my mouth dry?
@jimmycline4778 Жыл бұрын
Can you do this to much?
@Headfulness Жыл бұрын
@@jimmycline4778 If you start to feel lightheaded, take a break. Other than that, you can't really do "too much" slow, deep breathing. As far as keeping your mouth dry, slow breathing exercises help stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for producing saliva. You could try exhaling through your mouth, which may help dry out your mouth a little bit. Exhale through your mouth like you're gently blowing out a candle or cooling off some soup.

had palpitations (mild) just when I laid down. Now it's all the time. I also have pain un my calf. I've been to gp and he's organised blood tests and he checked my calfs. I'm not anxious. I dont drink, smoke or drink coffee.

Did the doctor ever tell you why you have this? I started having this a month ago and it sucks. Don't know why this started.

I have had out of control palpitations for 1 year. Had every test. Wearing my second heart monitor from cardiologist now. I have such anxiety over this as i have family history of young heart attacks. Cant sleep, worry all day, tried different diets, removed, or reduced medication. I have a thyroid nodule and take thyroid medication. Cardiologist put me on Motroptol low dose but doesnt work. My BP is too low on it. I have been doing some breathing excercises at night. I just did this for 3 min. And my palpitations reduced to about 1 every 11 beats. I will try the full 20 min. If this works I will just break into tears with shear gratitude, my cardiologist justvreferred me to an EP Cardiologist.

glad it is helping. I used to get them really often and they gradually occurred less often as I did slow breathing exercises for 20 minutes every day. Hope it keeps improving for you

@Headfulness downloaded the app. Will be a daily ritual. I did the full 20 minutes and the palpitations reduced by about 90%. Slept better last night then I have in months. Gave me such a feeling of calm as first positive thing I have tried in a year! I am so Grateful for finding you! It is 9:37am and I am still at the 90% reduced 12 hours later! ❤

The outbreath should be longer than the inbreath. This balances out the physical symptoms of hyperventilating much more effectively.

Thank you. I have lots of breathing exercises on my channel with longer outbreath

I got a weird uncomfortable feeling in my heart area, after doing this technique for just about a minute. I remember reading that the heart palpitations can continue if you “over breathe” this video didn’t work for me but I’m happy it’s helping others.

Try out some other breathing exercises on my channel and see if any others feel better. This one is a bit too fast for me personally. I like 6 seconds in, 6 seconds out, and 4 seconds in, 8 seconds out. A study was done that shows that slow breathing exercises like this reduce heart palpitations for most people.
