Yes, and until the public refuses to accept the garbage being pumped out of the RV factories nothing will happen. The Japanese need to start send quality built units over here and the American manufacture will soon start making and sell quality products. That was the only thing that snapped the American car companies to attention. Thank you.

We were warned, by a full time RVer, never to buy a “light” or “ultralight” anything for full time living. They are built to cut weight and are designed to be used for a couple of weeks per year. We ended up with a 15 YO class A diesel pusher that has some issues that need repair, but which is built like a tank. While a class A wouldn’t work for your needs, you might want to look into a rig that is heavier, if you want it to be more reliable for the long term.

I agree with that statement. I have this same camper and although I’m not a full timer, we are often in it when at home. I know it’s never going to be as tough as a house but it could have had better quality materials used in construction. It doesn’t hold up well to even the lighter usage. I own the same camper. Bought it from Lazy Days Tampa spring 2018. Something I just noticed on mine that I suggest you check. On the main room slide where the 12volt power line enters the slide from the main chassis. It enters from the front drivers side corner. Mine, I noticed the floor is soft in about a 6x6” corner around the wire entry. I’m sure it is because the wire entry was not sealed correctly and allows moisture to enter. It’s the only place I’ve found so far. Just my suggestion to check that location on yours. Remove the black silicone caulk wad at the site of entry and seal really seal it back up better than before. I’m going to coat the area is a spray sealant to close it up. I believe this was just a bad caulk job but the slide floor sits down below the slide walls and moisture running down the wall will run under to the fibrous black material. Good luck in your travels and I enjoy seeing what you’ve done with yours comparing it to mine. Thanks, Elon

Full disclosure we sold our TT early this year and purchased a motorhome. We wanted more space and larger tanks. 99.5% of the time we boondock. We are currently wintering at Imperial Dam LTVA BLM. My wife and I don't full time RV but we do go as often as we can. I am all about not only enjoying our time out but also the trip to and from. Last year I made some major suspension upgrades on our 30' TT and let me tell you, it was life changing. It greatly reduced the trailer jerking as well as improved the ride of the camper itself. I'm not saying it will stop the trailer from getting beat to death, but it will minimize it. It's the MORyde CRE3000 suspension system along with the Heavy duty shackle upgrade kit (commonly called a wet bolt kit). This thing is awesome. It adds a 3" rubber bushing between the suspension and the camper itself. It's a little on the expensive side, but well worth it. We love your channel and be safe.

Our family will be traveling from Ohio to Texas. First big trip and we plan on boondocking the whole way down. What kind of golf cart battery did you buy? Thank you for your help love your videos
@NoOrdinaryPath4 жыл бұрын
We got ours from Costco. We replaced our single 12volt with 2 6 volts www.costco.com/interstate-6-volt-golf-cart-battery.product.100476406.html

You can purchase these batteries with more amp hour rating also. The higher the rating the longer the runtime will be.

Hi, my 2 cents, start by having your trailer wheels balanced, most people don't do this, I have a friend with a new trailer that has the same thing happened as you, we've left stuff on the counter that's stayed up their driving down here in the Ozarks (West Plains) a out of balance tire will shake the crap out of a trailer.

Hi guys I use to have a 32 ft travel trailer and I was full time living and I just have problem with the tires but with this new like you all the time something goes wrong 😔😔

Then there's Airstream. Better built and last a long time. Yes you'll pay through the nose but won't be fixing nearly as much. Two years on mine and only the propane hose was replaced and a little glue on the screen door insulator (about 7") as the edge lost it's grip. Not bad. Fingers crossed. I bought it because I'm not in the mood to fix the mfg f-ups! No water leaks either with it going through gailstorms and 60 mph winds. A solid trailer. I have a 23FB.

I just discovered your channel. So happy I did, you guys are great. We full time, 11 years now. Finally found an RV that holds up pretty good to full timing.
@NoOrdinaryPath3 жыл бұрын
That is awesome! We certainly didn't think we'd be doing this as long as we have or we would have chosen better to start. I think a different RV might be in our future. ;)

@@NoOrdinaryPath our biggest issue with the RVs was trying to take them to get fixed where we bought them. With the Alliance we do not have to do that. We get a hold of Alliance and they either walk us through the repair or send a mobile tech out to where we are.

Do you know the Hanks they were nurses. They pull a 5th wheel also on KZbin
@NoOrdinaryPath2 жыл бұрын
We've not met them before but it's funny how often we've had people confuse us. They're a bit younger and sans kids, they make good content though!
@steveatnyc102 жыл бұрын
I would not confuse you with them yes there are younger but not you guys. He also stated he is related to Tom Hanks on one of their latest KZbin segments. But since you are a nurse I wanted to just let you know both of them are nurses but not practicing currently unless they are treating people on the road lol.

Get the gas stop shuts the gas off if there is leak
@bbcooter3884 жыл бұрын
The Gas Stops would not flag that slow leak as a leak. The Gas Stops shut off the Propane if there is a large leak, like if a hose were to get cut.
@NoOrdinaryPath4 жыл бұрын
I have not heard of that. I'll have to check it out.

We only use our Passport for recreation about 15-20 days per season. A lot of the issues you've had with the doors, regulator, etc... we also had but most of them didn't happen until years 6-8. You've been in that rig for several years now full time. All things considered, yours is holding up pretty well. We just stepped into a bumper-pull toy hauler since the kids are mid/upper teens now and need more room than the bunkhouse provides, but we're hanging onto the old Passport for camping with family. Looking forward to your next vid.

I agree W. It has surprised us. We thought initially that it was only going to be for a year or two. Went with the ultralight because we were first pulling with that F150...
@ricklodin20684 жыл бұрын
You purchased a camping trailer meant for occasional weekend use, not meant for fulltime living. There are rigs made for full time use that while they still have some issues are far better constructed. It comes down to the old adage, you get what you pay for.

Besides making whoopee and eating, what do you guys do?
@anthonyguess55283 жыл бұрын
We like watching your videos you show the real life of RV. We do think you guys are pretty hard on your trailer because of the places that you travel you might want to look into those off-road trailers that are built very solid and can take the road punishment a lot better. I think that trip to Alaska and the Arctic circle shook the daylights out of your trailer and now it's just going to keep falling apart
@NoOrdinaryPath3 жыл бұрын
I think your are absolutely right! It was worth it. But your next one (whenever that may be) will be more solid for sure. Thanks for watching!

Great video, I’m sorry but your dog’s attraction to the dead turtle, your daughters reaction and the dogs tail wagging under the blanket had me laughing! My wife is watching a tv show and also trying to figure out what I’m laughing at...good luck with your dog and RV issues.
