It’s possible he’s running one gps/heading sensor at the bow and one at the stern

Ok, you're the first person to mention this. I mounted the Humminbird heading sensor up on the bow next to the MinnKota sensor. And now my boat icon is on an angle when I'm running straight and it's driving me nuts...so is there an offset adjustment for this or do I have to physically move it somewhere else on the boat to remedy this? Thanks

If this is happening when the prop is in the water, then you need to set the offset. Yes there is an offset function. If this is happening when the motor is stowed, then that's interference. Like I said, it should work fine when you troll, but if you want to look at your map while running your big outboard motor, this angle will not go away until you move it to a new location.

Interesting. I found this because my ulterra seems to overreact to wind and current movements and I was thinking this might be a problem. Maybe not, now that I seen this.

There's an offset feature that goes from -2 through +2 and also includes 0. So if you have a trolling motor that's overpowering for your boat, you can adjust that setting.

That feature can be found on your wireless remote control for your trolling motor.

Yep! I was fooling around with that. The calibration gave me an offset. It seems to work a little better with autopilot but it's still a little laggy with the spot lock. I sure do miss my terrova. The ulterra is quite a bit different, processing wise.

@@catchonedrinktwo To calibrate, there's 3 things: 1. circle around twice 2. bow to the actual direction puck is pointing offset 3. power offset (this step is optional). This is the one I'm talking about.
