Tried the socket method as commenters here said. No matter how I angled the socket it wouldnt straighten out. Pounded it through, bent the tabs back on concrete with a hammer and the bottom row with pliers then used your screw method. Tapping on an angle really did the trick. Thank you as this bike build has been a pain in the rear. Thanks!

copy from @bhoot1702 (4 years ago): It's basically the same. You just need to keep balls up for down part and balls down on upper part like this video

Great! My Giant Alias uses these "caged" ball bearing type which are for a 1.25" diameter steerer tube, with 5/32" diameter balls, and there are 20 balls.

My first spacer (sort of cone-shaped one) seems to have another small thin ring that doesn't show up in anybody's video, but seems to fit perfectly in an indention in the spacer. Has anyone else seen that small thin ring? I'm assuming it goes with the cone-shaped spacer, but wish it was in some video somewhere.

Sometimes the compression ring is spring loaded in the headset and pops out when the fork is installed. If not please contact our support team and share pictures www.Ride1UP.com/contact

Do you add grease. Im about to put a fork on and need to know everthing grease. I have a redline 24in. Its aluminum and the fork was hi strength tinsile. I had a cult) BMX brand ) 26' fork laying around. I would have preferred a 24-in fork but this one's at least full chromo

Hi, the video was helpful. The only problem I ran into was when I tried putting the last smaller rubber piece (pressure washer with the spacer), it wouldn't go all the way down flush with the other pieces. Any suggestions? Thanks Ed
