This describes all of my in-laws and my husband. It's a shame that all admit they have depression, migraines, poor sleep and cancers in the family - but think they are fine because everyone around them has the same. They also believe they eat healthy...it's hard to be the only one that sees just how much all our lives are affected by something that could easily be fixed. The biggest lesson I need to accept is that I can't change anyone but myself.

I can confirm this, a few years ago I changed my diet and my depression disappeared without any other changes in my life. I'm still dealing with leaky gut(maybe after the couf) and notice on good days my HRV is better and my motivation is higher, so that's also affected by neuro-inflammation or other immune response. One day I will be able to fix it.

I had to change my diet as well, about five years ago, all organic, no dairy, rarely any wheat (my daughter is allergic ao I cannot bake with it at all, very occasionally I’ll have one of my friends organic sourdough that she makes), but I’m still suffering from really difficult and extreme mood shifts and also fibroids. I’m so frustrated about it, I’m doing everything on the list for shrinking fibroids and improving hormonal balance and it’s just…. Not working.

I have a whole lecture on this on my channel. However, honestly dont find it as compelling in real practice, vs the theory/mechanistic studies. I was an avid follower of Kruse back in 2014/15. But as I said, in practice, not all that effective compared with changing food. That said, i discuss the importance of circadian rhythm in this video.

Have you been out in that sun lately? There's nothing natural about it. I do hear you, but how do we get the controllers to stop messing with what God gave us, which is Mother, Mother Nature. It IS time to get back to the garden for food, and natural sunshine.

@@edie4321 I'm outside every day, particularly in the morning. It's critical to get sunlight in the retina and on the skin, at least some. I have Hashimoto's (underactive thyroid), and sunlight has accelerated my healing better than any supplements. I also ditched my bed for a Japanese tatami mat, a total game-changer for my sleep, which is now longer and deeper. My blanket has hardly moved in the morning; it's quite remarkable.

@@TerriblePerfection That's wonderful. The best thing I've done, besides quitting all medications that accelerated my healing immensely, was to turn off my modem and all electronics before sleep. I immediately returned to restful sleep. I used to love my morning walk, but recently the sun is not the same to me, it is so very intense. I live in sunny New Mexico, where we are quite close to the sun. Many are talking about the changes, and how the Sunflowers now turn away from the sun. I think the coffee recommendation should be reconsidered. In the morning cortisol is higher naturally. In the afternoon, cortisol is low. Yo have coffee in the mornings bring cortisol high, because it is being consumed on top of what the body has already put out in order to change the state from sleep to active movement. Sipping coffee in the afternoon will keep the body going and still have plenty of time to slow down before sleepy-pie time. Keeping cortisol down is also very important to health.

5:13 I threw out my fish & krill oil supplements after watching Jay Feldman's episodes 23, 105, 106, and 107. Episode 23 discusses the membrane pacemaker theory of aging. 105 explains that w-3 is an indicator of health. With the car analogy your fuel gauge is an indicator of fuel in the gas tank. Moving the needle doesn't change how much gas is in the tank. 106 discusses a study showing w-3 is worse than corn oil. 107 goes over more studies showing possible decrease in lifespan due to w-3. I believe evolution put w-3 in cell membranes to decrease our lifespan, after watching these videos.

My conclusion on depression and anxiety as an herbalist. 1: Kapha excess 2: Vatta Excess. Kapha Excess: Cold overload in the body, specially in the brain , alkaline mucus in the brain can cause CNS Depression. Example: Winter Blues. Food: Avoid Cold-Alkalines. Take Bile Stimulating foods. (Mentioned in the end) Vatta Excess: (Acid or Dryness overload.) Disruption in the Carbonic acid dissociation can cause Co² toxicity in the body. Causing problems in signalling pathways of neurotransmitters. Like serotonin. (Due to poor food choices and routine) If it is Acid related depression, treatment would be different than the one caused by dryness. Dryness in the sense, RAAS system gets stimulated to the level, where it starts depleting essential mucus. By suppressing the enzyme mucin kinase.. It can cause impaired neurotransmitter signalling. Mascular system comes under pressure and there's often less blood flow to the head . *Food for dryness related depression.* Cold-Alkaline food. Will act as a stimulus for mucin kinase. Milk, funnel, condomon Green one. Cream, butter, (Ask an overweight woman her diet. 😃-) Cold alkalines cause weight gain and insulin resistance. (Not all, some actually skyrocket metabolism. Like arjuna bark. Or those work as diuretic positively affect the metabolism.) Note: If you've depression or anxiety and your gut is suffering constantly from bad fermentation like SIBO or IBS. These foods won't work. Food for acidic type. (Bile Stimulating foods) Hot alkalines. Like, lavender, chamomile, Senna leaves, turmeric, Ginger, Organic chicken meat. Mutton, Peppermint, rosemary tea , Ginkgo biloba. These foods will Stimulate liver and the body's acid base balance system would start working normally again... ..
