My go to drink right now is black coffee with MCT oil! Great tips on using matcha as a skin mask! Love that idea and putting it in your oat meal

Good morning Rachel! I love matcha! My favourite one is the vanilla or peach matcha from David’s Tea. I typically switch between coffee, matcha and green tea in the morning. I always wondered the difference between matcha and green tea! Crazy how it has the same antioxidants as 10 steeped green tea. I love this series that you're doing with the wellness topics. You really explained this so well. I learned so much. Adding it into a smoothie or on top of something is a great idea.

I've never had this type of tea but you make it sound very exciting something to try. Maybe one day I'll give it a try. Being healthy is so important in todays world. It's great that you take the time to read up on important information, your someone who has so much talent, your intelligent, fantastic yoga instructor, a teacher, you can do a lot of different careers and truly believe in you and hope you have success in life. I was just about to ask you where you get your tea! David’s tea is awesome! I am gonna have to grab some from there. I recently bought Nature’s Way Matcha and it didn’t agree with my stomach which has never happened to me before b/c I love my matcha! Hi Daniella! Yes, I stick with DavidsTea when it comes to matcha. I always investigate where the matcha is coming from and the growing conditions. I haven't tried Nature's Way Matcha before. I guess if it didn't agree with you, then I would steer clear of that brand! I have heard of some people state that the matcha was hard on their stomach, making them feel nauseous. I use to see my little sister drink these all the time did not know what or what it was. Thanks for the break down. I will try the hot and cold version as well. I don’t mind bitter taste so not need for sugar as well. My go to drink is water then coffee lol.

Hi 🤗 Great question! I personally drink Grand Cru matcha from David's Tea (it is a Canadian company). I really love the taste of it. I personally enjoy more bitter, grassy teas. Hi Dr. Sno! I hope that you are doing well 😊 Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to this video! Great question! For the face mask, I would use about a teaspoon of matcha power (traditional matcha - the ones with no sugar added) with about a 1/2 teaspoon of organic honey. Mix the two ingredients together. It will be a paste. You would then spread the mixture on the face, in a circular motion. I typically would leave it on for about 10 minute before washing it off. The skin feels really smooth after that! I hope that answers your question! Take care, and have a great day 🙏😊

Hey there 🤗 Thank you so much for your comment and question. I feel that it depends on how the matcha feels in your body. I'm a firm believer in following what feels good and nourishing in your body. If you find that this is creating any discomfort in your body, then you can explore another option. Since it is caffeinated, it may be a good idea to drink matcha earlier on in your day (later morning/early afternoon). Drinking matcha after 5pm may be too stimulating for the mind and body. Dear Rachel, this video is packed with information I have been reading about Matcha nd its benefits but you served me all I needed in 6 minutes. I still havent tried Matcha Tea but this video is making me want to find a local provider here and buy me some. Hi there! I wouldn't be super concerned if the matcha tea is expired unless there is evidence of mold. The taste and smell of the matcha powder may be affected if the matcha is expired. Hi Dola! This is a great question 😄 I personally recommend having something to eat in the morning before drinking matcha. Based on what research tells us, drinking matcha on an empty stomach could cause your stomach to feel upset due to an increase in stomach acid. Hi Richard! Great question! It depends on what you've purchased. From my understanding and experience, matcha green tea bags contain significantly less matcha than if you were to buy the powder. I believe that the tea bags are usually a mix of green tea leaves and some matcha powder. I'm uncertain of the ratio as it depends on the product itself. So, it really depends on the product itself, as well as where the matcha has been grown and harvested. So, the product may have some great health benefits or it may not. I recommend looking into the company to see where their matcha and green tea comes from, as well as how much matcha is in the tea bag itself. Hello 🤗 Some studies say one cup, while others say between 1 to 2 cups, and some say no more than 3 cups of matcha per day. Based on my research, organic Japanese matcha has low amounts of lead (naturally occurring). With that said, there's so many health benefits to drinking matcha!
