Very relevant subject but I believe that the explanation could have been better organized, considering you have high standards. Super top up adds all claims, and starts providing the claims once cumulative amount is more than deductible. Another point that should be included is the claim process - can I give both base plan and super top to hospital?

sir as per your suggestion best company for super top up. if base plan is family floater and super top up is also family floater then base plan is 5 lakhs then after exp paid by super top up and claim 1 is by x second claim by x and third claim by z and total exp is 7 lakhs at that time super top up paid rs 2 lakh by super top up

Thanks for explaining these concepts. Just wanted to know, is there any type of base plan available in health insurance which only activate if my cost exists a certain limit? For example, I take a coverage of 15 Lakhs. But only want to use that insurance if my hospitalisation or medical cost exists 5 Lakhs. I read it somewhere but not completely sure.

First is Index so large cap (top 30), second is large & midcap (selection of top 250 stocks available) and third one is well diversified large, mid, small and foreign equity portfolio scheme. So all in all a good selection of 3 funds👌

Does Super Top up work on sublimits of base policy amount ? Example: Arogya Sanjivni Policy ( base amount worth Rs. 5,00,000 ) has ICU limit 10,000 /-. If claim amount is 2,00,000 /- but ICU charges 20,000 in this case Super Top Up will work or not for claim settlement Rs./- 10,000.

Sir, I am having the Base policy of HDFC ERGO Ins Co for Rs 3 lacs (Plus Rs 3 lacs on a/c of No-claim bonus) AND the Super Top-up Policy of the same Co for Rs 7 lacs with Deductible amount of Rs 4 lacs. My hospital bill was for Rs 8 lacs (single claim) and I received only Rs 6 lacs reimbursement from the Base policy and for the remaining claim of Rs 2 lacs, I received a mail from the Ins Co that it is not payable since the deductible amount of 4 lacs is not as per the super top-up policy. I am totally confused in this regard and request you to guide me in this matter. 🙏🙏# Kulkarni from Bangalore.

Claim 1-baseplan will take care of this Claim 2- 5 lakh from base (if auto recharge facility is there) otherwise you have to pay 1st 5 lakh. Rest 5 lakh from topup

Super top up will not cover pls check before buying What is not covered: a. Chronic health conditions including ischemic heart disease, chronic liver disease, chronic kidney disease, cerebro-vascular disease/ stroke, bronchial asthma and neoplasms which are not directly related to the patient’s immunity status would not be covered under this benefit. b. Lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases and dyslipidemia which are not related to HIV / AIDS would not be covered under this benefit.
