IDK if it's considered a healthy habit morning routine but it helps a lot. I'm a corrections officer, married with 3 children. I try my best to call my husband (he's on the night shift) and talk to him during my commute. I give him a heads up on how my morning went with the children and he gives me a run down of his night. If I can't get through to him, I call home and talk to 1 of the kids before I go into the jail. Even though it's only a 15 minute commute a lot is said in this small window. It's kinda like not going to bed angry. I have to connect with my family before I go in for a 12 hour shift where I am completely disconnected from the world. And because I love them. Also, for the avocado toast, my daughter and I sprinkle the "Everything but the Bagel" seasoning from Trader Joe's...game changer fro us. #healthnutfam ☺

Great vid Nikole! One year ago my routine was getting up, taking a shower and going to work, but during last six months I've changed my routine a lot. I get up one hour earlier, I drink two glasses of water, I work out about 45 -55 minutes, I go to shower, I drink a vegetable/fruit smoothy and then I go to work where I have a healthy breakfast!! I really enjoy your channel. So thank you. The first thing I do is make my bed in the morning. Then I pray and thank God for life. I listen to a few worship songs and read my devotional and bible. Like yourself I really love herbal coffee and drink it with vanilla almond milk. I eat my breakfast and drink some water as well. I'm usually up quite early in the morning.

I like to listen to an ebook, podcast, or music while getting ready. It keeps me productive (more than watching something would) but helps reorient me to what I was reading the night/day before or sets the mood and tone for the day. It's been a good digital detox compromise too!

I just got into diffusing different essential oils in the morning to start my day (my favorite morning combo is sweet orange oil with peppermint oil to wake me up) while it’s diffusing I usually make breakfast take a shower then sit in my room for 10 minutes and do some breathing meditation to inhale the mist and get the full benefits. I usually grab a cup of coffee from a local coffee shop on my way to work but I’d love to try the herbal coffee!!

I don’t get that much me time since I have two little ones... (2 year old & 6 month old) but what I’ve started doing is when I wake up i drink at least 1.5-2 cups of water before I drink a cup of coffee. I went to Bulk Barn to purchase Caflib but they didn’t have it so I’ll going to purchase online. I also started using a diffuser... what scents do you use in the morning? Also I’ve been meal prepping and I mask on Wednesday’s... giving myself some time to relax and do a face mask. So much I want to do but I need time! This is a very good video and recommendation, but only if you work from home. Honestly, this is not achievable for people, who have regular jobs...If I did everything from this "healthy morning routine", I would have to get up at least an hour earlier and then get ready and then drive to work...I would love to see something more realistic, especially timewise. :)

Don't worry i completely know what you mean as I use to commute over 3 hours a day to my day job. Waking up an hour early to do self care practices is a choice just like working out after work. You have to do what fits within your schedule so maybe try even just 2 things I mentioned in this video in your day and see how it goes. I've noticed so many benefits from incorporating these practices in my life which is why I try my hardest to make time for them but lets be honest I don't get to all of them everyday but I do my best. They can also be split up throughout the day. For instance maybe if you cant walk in the morning try going for one at lunch and instead of avocado toast just blend up a smoothie to take with you on the go! One thing I always do when I wake up is listen to music. I always try to wake up earlier than I need so, I can enjoy that little amount of time before class. It doesn't seem like much but for me personally it helps a lot for clearing my mind. If I have extra time, I'll do a little bit of stretching / mini dance to help start on a positive note. I also try to drink homemade green juice every morning along with a small breakfast. #healthnutfam

What made you choose herbal coffee? Are there any other health benefits other than reducing caffeine? Also were you a big coffee drinker before making that switch?

Erica G Just some fun tips to know.. products that are marketed as decaf, aren't naturally decaffeinated. They are run through a chemical process to strip the product from the caffeine, however that leaves the chemical agent on the coffee bean or the tea leaf. Herbal coffee is made of natural ingredients that do not contain caffeine and the reason it takes like coffee is because the ingredients are roasted. The only natural decaf teas are herbal as well, for example peppermint. Caffeine is terrible for the gut and nervous system. Over time it becomes addicting and often people turn to coffee and tea for their main beverage which is ok but its extremely important to hydrate with water. I hope this answers your questions. ☺

Currently, I drink lemon water every morning, a couple times a week I take ginger shots (grated ginger and lemon), and I try having a smoothie most mornings. And your harvest glow salad is one of my new favourite obsessions!!! I’ve been trying to cut back on coffee, and I ended up buying a herbal coffee about a year ago, I didn’t really like it. And then I tried it again with you bullet proof recipe and it actually makes a HUGE difference!! I still don’t love it, but once I finish the one I have I’ll buy the one you’ve recommended and see if it’s any better. #healthnutfam My healthy habit is drinking plenty of water to start my day with my toddler daughter who loves drinking water! Thank goodness 💁🏻♀️ and then we share a green smoothie! Which she also loves because I make it with peanut butter& banana to mask the greens! Something that I do that I swear by is I prep everything the night before. From preparing my meals to what I wear, I plan everything. I’m a college student and for anyone (whether you’re a college student or not) prepping everything the night before saves time, stress and money. And if for some reason if I wake up late, I have everything set so I don’t have to scramble to find what to wear or what to make for lunch.

I also make my bed everyday (most mornings my husband is still in it when I make my side), open up my blinds, brush my teeth, wash my face and moisturize..... Then Matcha. green tea (instead of plain water I steep 2 Yogi tea bags) with honey and coconut oil blended..... Yummy!

I start my day with warm lemon water followed by a cup of coffee. Maybe I should substitute Caf-lib for the coffee. Always looking for healthy alternatives that actually taste good.

My morning routine is a huge mug of warm water with lemon. It is a must. My body is off the entire day if I miss it. I do a few stretches while drinking it. Then a cup of coffee with coconut creamer. And then my stomach is ready for breakfast. 🥑🍞🍳
