i would love to see more of these types of videos! i like this style a lot more than the chef microwave series, also do you have an ALDI near you ? If you do, could you please do a grocery haul + meal series on it! ALDI is a german grocery store chain, and it's similar to Trader Joe's in a way.
@doodahgurlie
@doodahgurlie 6 жыл бұрын
Aldi and Trader Joe's are actually owned by the same company. Aldi just carries cheaper items and makes you bring your own bags, pack your own stuff, and pay for your own cart. But I think the prices are really great for those on a budget since you do get a lot of similar stuff to Trader Joe's....just not as much cool stuff since the store isn't marketed towards the hipster crowd. LOL
@injangwooah5481
@injangwooah5481 6 жыл бұрын
Aldi actually owns Trader Joes, and since Aldi is a German company its traditions(??) of customers packing their own stuff &paying for carts is carried on to the US stores, it's more of European grocery thing. You can also find a lot of different things such as pots, pans, kitchen gadgets, etc. at Aldi too. While I was in Holland I actually saw an Aldi selling out of season Adidas track suits, lol. What I mostly like about Aldi is the fact that sell a pretty good variety of organic/pesticide/anti-biotic free items at a lower price than Trader Joes!

They both came out great looking. I love seeing all the veggies in there. Just curious if I used regular gojuchang, do I add the same amount? I really need to start using it as I bought a huge bottle. LOL! The Italian pasta looks really good, too, but I think I'd need more veggies in there to lighten up the pasta some more. :)

Oh, forgot to mention I saw an oval 5 quart(?) Le Creuset Dutch oven at Marshall's today on clearance. I pondered it but didn't like the red color they used on it. I'm shallow that way. LOL! I have a beautiful blue La Cuisine round pot coming this week. It just aesthetically appealed to me the best of all the ones out there right now (although the Staub is very close in aesthetics and color). Let's see if it performs up to the advertisement since it's cheaper than Le Creuset or Staub. LOL!

The food looks delish. I really like the bowls you served the food in. Just some constructive criticism. I think it would have been better if you said two different meals, 4 servings each meal, rather than 8 meals for $26. But I guess it could go both ways if you are single and eating it all by yourself.

You should do cheap, vegetarian meals! I'm a student so I can't keep around lots of meat so it'd be super useful. Lots of recipes are either composed of very expensive elements or basically tell you to nibble on a carrot until you turn into a rabbit or something.

How healthy are these options Dzung? With the gochu jang and marinara sauce, there are a lotta hidden sugars and preservatives in it not to mention MSG. Im in the middle of working out and trying to have a more 'gym' ready diet and i don't think these would fit such diet requirements, although they all look amazing! sending positive vibes to you and your family
@Linda-fd2iu
@Linda-fd2iu 6 жыл бұрын
I Just Can't Wait 2 Be King I recommend doing extra research about MSG as most of what people believe about it is outdated. However, you’re right about the hidden sugars. You could probably modify the recipe like crushing your tomatoes, using less salt especially in the second recipe, using zucchini noodles, etc. As for the gochuchang, it’s hard for me to compare the salt and sugar content of this brand vs the kinds you would find a typical Korean market. For the gym, a small portion of this would probably provide some easy and quick energy. She has tons of other healthy recipes too, she’s great!
@honeysuckle
@honeysuckle 6 жыл бұрын
I should have mentioned I chose a marinara sauce with no sugar added and low salt content. The gochujang sauce also did not have any msgs. I don’t buy anything with msgs in it so we are ok on that front! But maybe swap out the pasta for zoodles as Linda mentioned!
