Black rice Payasam / Kheer
Black rice is one of the most nutrient dense grain which has numerous health benefits. This rice had a very distinctive nutty taste to it and is low on calories. I have created a healthier version of this popular dish by replacing regular milk with coconut milk and sugar with jaggery. I have also added some fried coconut for some extra crunch.

Ingredients
2tsp Ghee
2tsp chopped coconut pieces
1/2 cup black rice
1.5 cups of grated coconut
1/2 cup of melted Jaggery
1tsp ground cardamom
1/2 cup water
