Vid inspired by the increase of therian packs in the community, a member who came to me asking for help due possible unhealthy pack and discussing the topic multiple times on multiple places of the community.

This video will be speaking about Therian Packs in more detail, using both information out of own experiences as well as anything I've been shared over the past years. And my observations.
I'll be giving the signs that a pack could possibly be unhealthy, as well as those for it being possibly healthy.
These are both important when you are part of the pack, as well as when you're looking for a pack to join.
I'll also give advice to:
- Members living in an unhealthy pack
- Alpha's of an unhealthy pack
As well as a small advice to therians without packs, and a very small and simplified explaination why humans (and especially 'animal humans', like therians) would be drawn to forming or searching for packs. Naturally.
I hope you all can enjoy the vid, that I could help or learn you someting new!

I'd do anything to have a pack. Having an "online pack" is not nearly the same. It's just words on my screen. It makes it worse when your a part of a pack but all of the members are irl friends and do things together that you can only see through photos/videos. I live in michigan oof

I think it really depends per pack! We as online pack hold a lot of voicechats and the like so we all hear and see eachother, some of the pack I know IRL jus as most in the pack know atleast one other packmember also IRL. We all got a really close bond! I hold a local community, which are the bi-monthly meet-ups of. We aren't a pack, just a local community for belgium and the netherlands. But I prefer my online pack (the candlewood) above these physical therians as a pack! :) I really hope you can find a IRL pack however! Sometimes online packs don't work for people and that's fine. I wish u luck!

I have friends who are in facebook packs, and I'm incredibly grateful to see videos like this one in the community. I was told that "it's okay, they understand real wolfpack psychology and everyone gets along" but that alone shouldn't be an indicator as to whether or not a pack is healthy, especially among teenage packs. Love your content, PD!

I'm really happy you could appreciate the video! It's indeed never okay to go with that mentality in an abusive packs :/ we should keep in mind we're animal-people. We're no full animal (except that the human is an animal) and not all therians or humans understand animals, or eachother or therians and often alpha's handle out of human concepts (like abusing power). I love this video. 😊 This helps alot since I'm trying to start a pack with some freinds. I had to actually kick someone out because they were continuing to fight with other members. It was hard since they're a close freind but it had to be done to keep peace within the pack.

@@ShadeATV A little fight might be fine but if it is a big fight, or consistent fight then it may disturb or put the other pack members in a uncomfortable position. Hope that helped!

i do not have a pack, but i have a packmate. we grew up together. we would always make animal vocals and crawl like a animal, without knowing what a therian was. we would tell eachother about dreams we had that felt like memories. we would always go in to forest and.. feel at home. we built a outdoor den together. we were supper protective of eachother, like packmates. we both felt phantom limbs. when we played games, we would always be animals. we would playfight, and for some weird reason, we knew exactly how to move and fight like a animal.

Wait how is having a single species pack a bad thing? I feel like a large percent of what makes a therian pack is either fictional, or includes human morals Like, it should be ok for a bird flock to decline a cat or wolf therian because of species collisions. Everything is fine when they're in human state, but some therians act different when switching and might get aggressive towards another species. Although its generic: a wolf therian switches around a rabbit therian. Things might not go well XD

Chabad Wolf theriotypes cannot control people. If one gets aggressive to others they should try to change this behaviour just as one would if they'd get aggressive to someone of another race or gender. You cannot blame a theriotype, you are a human-animal.. you have to blame the whole. Denying a member on theriotype therefore is no different then denying over gender, race,... I know thousands of therians of which a good 100 are people in real life or close people online. Non if them get aggressive or act different around people with specific theriotypes due species. Or at the very least not till the point it would take over and become unsafe.

I was recently in a bad bad pack. Most of the members were canine, we had a horse, tiger (me) and a lion. Those of us that weren't Canine were forced out. Either by physical force, or by psychological force.

I was in a wolf/fox pack 1 year ago, we were all really close but at the end our Alpha had problems and when we tried to help her, well she just left us. Sadly the pack dissolved and today I miss having a pack a lot. And in France it is so difficult to find a pack T^T

Hi so, I wasn't part of an unhealthy pack thankfully. But there is another pack living in my neighborhood, and I was out walking in the woods and I heard the other pack. They where attacking one of the dogs in my neighborhood I think. I wanna warn people who live in Rome goegia. Because they have attacked multiple cats and dogs.

willow the protogen I'd tell the police or something alike for sure! and if possible: say the places. Maybe they can check some camera there for proof. Of it's 100% sure they attack dogs and cats then I'd warn the neighbourhood, preferably anonymously. As much as I want to...I wouldn't if it was just a guess. As it could make others really angry and bring the pack in danger, which would be sad it the pack did nothing wrong

i have a question. i'm soon going to be searching for pack members (i'm fleshing out my pack details) and i made what i call "the authority team." the authority team consists of a main alpha, beta, and omega + their co alpha, beta, and omega. the authority team is mainly there to organise meets, manage members, make/assist or advise in decision making, report negative behaviours,(my pack is meant to be built on having no discrimination) etc. would this be a healthy thing? I'd like to make sure my pack has healthy practices before i start looking for members edit : i forgot to add that non-authority team members are also welcome to give advice and request changes to the pack. if they do, it is also the authority team's job to meet and discuss it

BlackSky Pack that’s actually very normal don’t worry. For us that is the alpha, beta, delta. The delta is the tech mind behind our discord server mainly while the alphas take the main decisions and do things like create rules or control the memberlist or post announcements while the beta is mainly there as secondopnion to discuss with, ask advice of,.. but also who keeps an eye on the pack and can both keep drama under control and be an anonymous transfer for member complaints or the like. Having absolutely no leading role and giving everyone thr same powers from adding or removing members to deleting the chatgroup or changing its name more often goes wrong than good. Someone will at sometime get angry or upset, and this member may remove everyone or delete the whole chat by example. As long as you only own power in the way an admin does. You’re just protecting your members and keeping things in order :) So it seems that your pack plan is at the healthy side Goodluck!

Northern Wind Pack if it repeatedly happens it could be bad yes. As that means the members do not respect eachothers boundries. Like it can happen a few times but if it keeps happening it tells me the members haven’t done effort to tone back, keep the others safety or limits in mind and learn at what point they may cross them. Having fun is important! But keep your members safety and limits in mind :) Now I wouldn’t say it means the entire pack is bad. Just something that should be worked on and improved! :)

I need help! I am the leader of a pack and not a very good alpha because I’m aggressive. I’m only aggressive because I can’t be wolf like or catlike during the day because my family hates therians and thinks they are weirdos. How can I cope with my built up aggression? -Alpha Alaska

I'd certainly look for ways to channel out your animality. Isn't there a forest nearby you can visit on your own or with a trusted friend to allow yourself to shift and be free? Perhaps under the excuse of 'I need to collect leafs for my school project' or anything? If you can't Go somewhere to be on your own and channel out animality then you'll need to find indoor activities that allow this without being too obvious. Some possibilities may be: - meditating in your room ("yoga", "mindfullness") - listening to nature music, having scented candles that smell like your habitat, decorating your room to look like your habitat,.. ("favorite animal", "spirituality") - make yourself a den where you feel safe (in your room, "clubhouse") - get into animality-related activities such as rolepaly, LARP, furry fandom. - get into online ways to channel out animality such as the options I give in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qavTm6aXbM18aNk - get into fightsports or selfdefence sports (judo, jiu-jitsu,..) to get out some of that animalistic energy/aggression. - get into other sports such as hunting, parcour running, .. that are simular to your theriotype (or professional quadrobics for example)

Hey! I'd suggest to use a unique pack name as a lot of packs use that name and it will be harder to identify YOUR pack. I'd suggest changing your packs name to something like white mist or something along those lines. You don't have to, it's just a suggestion! 🙂 No hate. ✌

I'm a dog too, and in our pack is a lion, raccoon, bat, fox, falcon, ... we also used to have a squirrel. They left at the moment but may return later. Packs are for everyone :3 but one doesn't Need one and many therians ain't in one as they don't want to. Which is fully fine.
