Hi everyone!
I'm so sorry to leave you guys without a video for quiet a while, I've been trying to edit this video for 5 days now but my life currently just got extremely busy with school, learning to drive, finding a place to work (school related) etc so I barely have Any free time! Yes, that's also why I respond slower.
On top of that I recorded this video on a day I had it very.. rough. So I ended up with a.. 40 (!) minute long video of mainly 'eumm' and ranting. I managed to cut down those 40 minutes to a 'small' 15 minutes.. Still longer than I'd like it to be however. But I'm already glad I got this far.
Later on I realized there were some other things you could do or get on school as a therian as well such as:
-Pencil erasers in the form or colour of your theriotype
-Draw your theriotype or theta-delta on a map or pencil case or sticky note or such.
-Draw on the school board a theta delta.
-Have pictures or videos of your theriotype on your phone.
-Little animal (theriotype) plushies
-Draw on your hand (be carefull, inkt is toxic)
-Put the tail on your bag (safely attached)
-Have headbands with small ears (socially more accepted) or balls or just two flowers or such, the weight will feel like ears.
-Have a belt or hang your hoodie around your waist to simulate the feeling of having a tail if you can't take your tail with you.
-Small keychain tails.
-Stickers (u can find a lot on redbubble, I recommend checking those out)

I am aloud to wear my ears (which I dont have as strong connection with compared to my tail) at my school but not my tail. At first that made me very sad because I couldn't wear something that made me feel better about myself. But then I was confused. The reason I couldn't wear my tail at school was because it was "distracting" but wouldn't u think that 2 big ears sticking up off of a girl's head would be more distracting in class then a little tail on someone's belt loop?

if your tail isn't too long, i recommend wearing it with a jacket tied around your waist, it's less 'distracting' with the advantages of having your tail :-)

This was so helpful! I have a problem with my friend hanging on my tail, and singing "Ari has fleas!" Because on the renaissance age people would wear tails so that if they got fleas or lice it would go into the tail instead of the person's hair, and she has actually damaged my tail before, everytime she does it I tell her to stop but sometimes.she doesn't. That's weird, after all fleas wouldn't stay in tails of dead animals. Because flees feed themselves from blood and dead-animal pelts do not have blood. Fleas will jump onto the tail out of instinct, but leave right after. So you can tell your friend that your tail for sure is impossible to actually have flees. I advice to tell a trustperson at your school, teacher or the head of your school as this is bullying. Or maybe a parent. Other than that, have a good talk with your friend about how they can break the tail. Do they got an important plush, keychain, clothing item,..? if so, be like "how would you feel if I constantly pull your [insert item] and it breaks? No fun right, please don't do it" or warn them like "stop doing that or I'll have to tell [insert person]" etc. U also surely recommend wearing my anti pull system: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aX3bemlvfKyYeLM as well as hold the tail whenever she's close in front of you or so to protect it from her.

Just my opinion: if youve told her to stop many times yet she doesn’t and she repeats it she doesnt really sound like a good friend especially if shes making fun of you. Teachers cannot bully, if they do so then you can fill in a complaint and talk to your head of school. They can legally get in trouble and even lose their job. Plz keep your tail safe from bullying, meaning to use the anti-pull system, holding it in front of your bully when there is a crowded area or a stair, holding it next to you on a chair, clipping it at the side to protect it easier, maybe only wear a fake one at school (as real tails could easily rip) etc. 7 or 8 theriotypes is quiet a lot. The standard is 1-3. Once one has more than 5, it's adviced to do extra research as 2 might be 1 or some might be something else than a theriotype. How did you figure out those were theriotypes? (I ask this to help, not to disbelief you) Best is to ask help from a trust person at school, head of school, parents,.. around bullying as that should be stopped. Also perhaps try a calm and respectfull talk to the bullies to explain why it's not ok to pull a tail or to bully. You ain't pulling their hoodie or laughing with their school bags either. And a tail shouldn't be any different. @@greadracia2590

a therian is someone who 'identifies as an animal', simply said: someone who feels as if they're an animal. You could say 'I'm rather an animal than a human'. 90% of therians are born a therian, and have always felt rather like an animal than a human throughout their entire life. Even while not knowing yet therianthropy excisted. Only a very small 10% unconciously, and by no choice, develops an animal identity (becomes a therian) on a later age. This usually is a result on some kind of trauma (being bullied, family member dying,..). However it's surely not something you have to 'find'. It's rather like.. you've felt as an animal you're entire life (or started later on caused by a trauma or such, in this case you didn't realize you created an animal identity because of the trauma.) and once you find out therianthropy excists you just kinda start researching (finding out) what specific animal you've felt you were your entire life. But it's surely not something you specificly find out or become. I hope I explained it clear enough? Questions are always welcome.

I’ll add this to PD’s comment: there are two types of therian. Psychological and spiritual. Typically spiritual therians are born with it. Psychological therians usually develop it in a later age. They (usually) believe that part of their brain is one of an animal, causing them to have shifts, and other things spiritual therian have. The only difference is that spiritual therian have a spiritual connection while the other don’t. Psychological therians can either be born this way, where it was just fate that their brain would develop like that, or it could be a result of trauma, like PD said. After the trauma it can either have altered your brain or simply awakened it as a coping mechanism, and after you recovered from the trauma, it just doesn’t go away. Once a therian, always a therian. It just depends on how confident you are to accept and show you are one. Hope this helps a bit ^-^

I wear my tails to school a lot! I have a pine marten tail, and a fox tail, I wear my pine marten tail all day, and fox tail for part of the day when i wear them!! My friend also is a therian and wears her fox tail. And my other friend is getting a tail! No one really bullies me if i wear a tail. No one said anything when i wore one all day. Only 1 person kept looking at it (not in a bad way).

Funny enough I was always a therian since I was like 4, I would always play fight with my sister or friends I would end up hurting them sometimes I always said sorry but I would go home and cry why saying”why do I hurt people” but now I realize it was just my therian side reacting

I would wear a dog collar but sadly my school doesn't allow them but I get to wear my tail and the service dog at my school likes to sniff and be around me when I wear my tail

You could wear your collar around your wrist or at your pants perhaps? Even tho the dog seems calm around it, always be carefull around dogs. They sometimes like to nom a tail! Even if they don't mean any harm, it could still be dangerous for the tail.

I got lucky with my school and I like to wear my tail and one time even wore my old collar a while ago. This video was quite helpful for me while in school. I always have pictures of my theriotype on my phone. I however sometimes have shifts at school, mostly when I'm anxious (Which is often, I get anxious from a ton of things.) At least they've been mostly harmless, involving heightened senses and stronger phantom shifts.

I recently wore some gear to school and most people didn't mind, but then one teacher got all weird about it and asked if I was a furry, apparently another student had told her furries. I said I wasn't and simply said "no it's not like a cosplay, furries are cool and I think anthro characters are too but it's a lot more personal than that for me." That night my parents get a call from the school, I get in big trouble and my gear gets binned. But most of my friends know how I identify and call me by the name I choose to go by. My family don't but I guess I just didn't explain it properly or something. Maybe when I'm older I'll get a good chance to sit then down and tell them in a good way.

Hi! I'm just wondering about family religion, for example, my family is religious but me and my sister don't believe in it ( I'm 11 and she's 14 ). I wanna open up to my parents but I'm scared to do so since they were always talking about how if i go against what the bible says, I would get thrown out. seeing as i'm going to a short summer school program this july+y'know. the rest of school after that- i'm definitely going to use this video to my advantage :3 i do wonder if there are other therians in my school. it's rather large, i think in the middle school building (mine as of now) there are about 600 kids in all. i'm curious as to whether i can make some new irl therian friends! EDIT:fixed a typo+forgot to add the building hosts 6th and 7th grade, so about 300 kids give or take for each grade. (i'll be going into seventh this year and praying i can wear a tail at least)

I'm sorry, I'm very busy atm so I'm sorry for reacting slower than usual. If you're scared your tail will break, it might be smart to buy a second tail as a back up. On top of that, use the pull-proof system (isn't actually completely pull proof! just will save it a bit more than nothing), clip it on your side when in a crowd/stairs, hold your tail when unsafe, watch it etc. be carefull. U don't Need your tail at school either, wear it if you want to. But you don't need to wear it to be a therian :')

"why u wearing tail?" "are u a furry?" i try to stand up to her. "why is a ur friend a furry?" "stop looking at her butt" i usally say....im so nervous to wear my tail i stopped wearing my coller and ears. i feel trapped. i was a bully myself in elementary and yeah ignoring is actually the best way to avoid bullying. i had a furry classmate and i would pick on him daily but he kinda just ignoring (he still is cringy tho) and i kinda stopped once i found out i was therian myself.

If drawn wrong you may draw the harry potter symbol or a symbol for alcohol-addicted people instead by accident. The circle and the triangle Have to overlap and the line in the middle is important too but can be replaced with a personal symbol like a pawprint

there are a few therian pendants or theta-delta pendants to be found on etsy and aliexpres (try 'tribal wolf necklace' or so, as it can be found under that too normally) from those pendants, or the pendants on the ketchains, you can create keychains yourself. Or you can buy shrink plastic and create your own plastic keychain or create keychains with some thread and feathers (push a needdle with thread through the feather, add a keychain clip to that)

My school has rules against wearing anything other than school uniform. But it's a large, open campus with buildings scattered about, so there is a large football oval (because I'm in Australia). My therian friends and I go to the back of the oval where teachers can't see us. Now that I've got gear I'm going to sneak it into school and take it to our spot because honestly it's stupid to tell kids "No expressing yourself other than uniform because sChOoL pRiDe". However, we have one or two days a year when you can wear anything you like (as long as it's appropriate) so I'll 100% be openly wearing all my gear.

I love being myself and being in this community that is getting bigger and bigger.
