During a party for a co-worker who was getting married for the first time, she asked all the married people what one piece of advice they had to give. Mine was to always to be polite with your spouse - say "please" and "thank you." I always say "Good morning/afternoon/evening/hello" to the bus driver when I get on and I always say "Thank you" to the driver before I get off the bus. It often makes someone's day.
