Actually both sides are seeking GF redemption. Swans lost 2016 and 2022, Lions 2023. Going to be a cracking game but only one side can take the cup home - I do think it’ll be the Lions. 🦁🏆🎉

Sydney also lost 2014 to the Hawks. They are much more seeking redemption than the Lions. In 24 years they have had 6 GF appearances and have only won 2 while having a 3 peat runner up 2014, 2016 and 2022, two of which were complete blowouts. At the same time the Lions have been to 5 GF, had a dynasty 3 peat and have lost only 2 since.

The lions redemption this season fr.bwing 2-5 to get back there and the way they've done it this year in the finals is much more potent than the swans, who have been the best team all year and cruised to the granny. Regardless of how many GF's they have lost in recent time

Daniher gets a lot of stick from the media and people that only watch the highlights of a Lions game. He plays with heart and while he makes mistakes, you can’t fault his effort. I wish everyone played with Danihers heart. He more than holds his own in the ruck when we need him and he kicks the goals when we need them. I’m glad he retired a premiership player for the Lions. I think it's just more that the story of the lions season, and the fact that they've made it to the big dance is more of a headline right now. just to show the adversity they faced at the start of the year being 2-5, and then coming from 5th and 44 points down in the 3rd in a semi final to win a prelim and make the granny again. They wouldn't have much to use for a video of the swans other than the GF loss in 2022, which will probably be included in the pre-game granny montage. They were on top all year, and cruised through to the granny 😂
