There are many reasons I find Trump repulsive, but his ideas about the armed services in general is the main one. The way he skirted the draft, calling dead Marines losers and suckers, telling his son he would disown him if he joined the army, insulting a POW because he was captured. As a veteran I find all that revolting.

My husband was lucky: completed his military service (Vietnam) without a scratch. Any treatments he needs, readily available at the local VA Hospital here in New Orleans. I often sit in the waiting room with him and watch vets in wheelchairs, with prosthetic limbs, walking with canes, guide dogs, or using mobility carts. The very idea of them being excluded from any event like that.... is disgusting. Unlike "Mr. Bone Spurs"... these men willingly and bravely stepped up - to serve their country..

I have met Avillia (sp), and listened to his story at a Music Therapy Conference. He and his MT made a CD of his singing, and I bought it. He was and is so inspirational. As a Music Therapist myself, working with these brave men who suffered such horrific injuries for their country deserve such respect. Both my grandfathers served in vietnam. one was a mechanic who helped repair all the vehicles and later joined a mortar crew, the other was on one of the airbases that was attacked during the Tet Offensive and was wounded as a result. They came home with scars both physical and mental. His lawyers and biggest "supporters" in Jan 6 learned it the hard way. Plaster those stories everywhere - it might be the biggest eye-opener available to us.

This is a made up story, if it was real, they would have had milly on and a few other of those "witnessess" they claimed where there, but its completely fabricated so they had to report the story in a way that they couldnt be held liable for defamation which is what this is. so sad people still fall for this kind of crap, it makes me so angry. i will never understand the deep hatred the left has for their fellow working class americans.

There's a teal reason why, after 5 generations of Trumps, not one member of the family has ever served in the military. Donald's grandfather, Friedrich, who founded the Trump ancestry in the US, had his citizenship revoked in 1905, for evading conscription in his homeland, Bavaria. Not many families have that deep of an anti-military stance over a 140 year period, as the Trump family does. So, it should come as no surprise, that Donald Trump is disparaging of people who have served their country in the military. I can't think of too many people I've ever met or heard of, who've lived in the US for the last 100 years, who haven't had a single member of their family serve in the military, at some point. I think it's telling, that the Trump family is that one exception.

I think there is a difference between using disabled veterans for sympathy and votes than to have respect for them and know they maybe should not be used for such things. People with class act and think differently . Mr trump has class and does not see using them for votes as a good thing.

I am a veteran, just one enlistment term in The Navy though, it was without a doubt the best decision I have ever made. However for any one, who will you believe, a man who has devoted his life to serving his country and literally went as far as one could go and still be active duty, he was it - after him was Sec Defense who is a civilian. Any way, who will you believe? The soldier or the grifter? Twenty years ago this would have been the end of any politician - game over I guarantee it. ESPECIALLY a candidate for Commander and Chief. His Cult with convince themselves this never happened or say they do not care. We are in deep shit if a third of the country lives outside of reality. Republicans used to be all about the troops, now they are going to take the word of a con man and a rapist over a General. Not just any General - like I said he was it.
